Hit just shy of 103° F / 39° C this week. Have seen it hotter. Don't care for it hotter, just have seen it. Usually the humidity is low enough that it's more bearable than lower temperatures with high humidity. Was surprised to see dew on a windshield at 77° F / 25° C, implying high humidity,
The dew point was >77°F (25°C) then in your area

Good thing "climate change" is only a hoax.
Climate change is very real, but I detect your sarcasm. Seems that the curse in Isaiah 24:4-6 is global warming.

Isaiah 24:4-6: "The earth dries up and withers, the world languishes and withers, the heavens languish with the earth. The earth is defiled by its people; they have disobeyed the laws, violated the statutes and broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore a curse consumes the earth; its people must bear their guilt. Therefore earth’s inhabitants are burned up, and very few are left."

I guess time for sarcasm and humor has long past. :(

That is true. The time is now serious. Even thousands of years ago, humans may not have caused global warming, but desertification was a thing from overgrazing by farm animals. Nowadays, we have got much bigger issues compared to in Biblical times, with CO2 emissions from fossil fuels peaking. Hopefully, the emissions decline in the near future.

110°F today here. Man, I hope this isn't gonna be a repeat of a few years ago - a couple of months of unbroken days over 100°F

All time record:

120°F (48.9°C) Monahans, Tx. June 30, 1994
35 miles west of Odessa - my birthplace.. sniff...

I keep anticipating a massive, yawning cavern opening up exposing the gates of hell somewhere. And Billy Bob, Jr. throwing some meat on a grill covering the chasm. Billy Bob, Jr. sporting a ripped, ketchup and grease stained tank top, blue jean shorts, and cowboy boots with no socks and sporting a 'Kiss the Cook' apron, lip sporting a wad of chewing tobacco and chugging a can of Lone Star beer, singing along with Willie, "To all the girls I've loved before".

Who says Texans can't parody themselves? Ya reckon'? Hey yanks, send some of that artic blast down here dagnabbit!

No arctic blast here in Canada (though most of our population lives close to the 49th parallel and not far north). Our airport temp is saying 38C, though my backyard weather sensor only hit 32C. Could be that it can't handle the heat and isn't actually displaying the right outdoor temp; otherwise, being close to the river and also the base of the mountain is helping us...

Only roller skates then and no ice skates?

Ice hockey seems to be the Canadian national sport. Teams are few and far between here in Australia.

I think there are only 32 teams in the whole country.

But I'm starting to wonder what our summer months will be like this year when they roll around after hearing about the northern hemisphere heatwaves.
