Its called the mural moth. Can't remember its proper name. But its one of those moths with a mural painted on its wings by nature. In this case its of a fly with red eyes eating what looks like bird droppings lol. This scares off predators as the red eyeed fly is known as poisonous.

I just like how Gods design works like that. No chance or blind process could create such a materpiece lol. A masterpiece on a masterpiece.

I like the idea of a dog for an avatar pic. I like dogs, mans best friend. But I think it has to be an Aussie dog like Red dog. Hes a real sheep herder lol.

And i thought I was twisted. Scary stuff. I love to watch the "I love nature" channel here. They have this show on there called "Aliens (something, think maybe be "down under"). Shows the creepy creatures in the ocean. It's fascinating, but it can really creep me out though so sometimes I have to change the channel when it's on.

Is that not an Aussie sheep dog I posted? But yours looks more formidable. Looks can be deceiving though. I had a Sheltie once and even the neighbors would comment how prissy he was as he didn't like to get dirty and would prance around on his paws when the grass was wet, but he was one tough cookie. Looks can be deceiving.

If you ever need a diversion, or just want to have some fun with it, you should join me in the "Is Bigfoot Real?" thread.

Been considering a Bigfoot expedition for some time now. Can't do it right now, but hopefully in the not too distant future. Thought it may be fun, and

Shoo, hit that post button again prematurely. This time my fault.

As I was saying ... If you need a diversion, jump in the Bigfoot thread.

They say we don't come from apes or chimps, but some primitive ape-like being that spawned apes, chimps, and humans.

Sounds like Bigfoot to me.

Really does take faith to believe in God. And, for those that don't believe in Him, faith to believe in the ape-like being, evolutionary theory.

So I have this brilliant idea. I say we hunt down the hairy dude, shoot him down, with a tranquilizer gun of course because we need to be humane about this instead of animals.

I think we can at least agree we have evolved to a more civilized society.

Oh, who am I kidding? Not too sure I even believe that.

But anywayzzz, so we tranquilize him, then send him off for X-rays to see if he is missing a rib.

Then we can finally put that argument to rest and have a happy medium for all.

Pipe dream?

Looky there, i actually posted twice, consequtively, without preaching. Not sure how to feel about that, depending on what it attracts.

But at least I know how to clear a room, in love because all must be done in his love.

Just feel so bad for them because I'm a super person to know, and like to have fun.

And I'm going to miss out on knowing them too, but you can't force a relationship. Can take time to get over our baggage, wounds to heal, demons to overcome, and others don't always contribute well to that. And it can take time to see something of value in each other.

Listen, sometimes I want to get away from myself too, but everywhere I go there I am. Then, I remember how lovable I am, warts and all.

Am I preaching again?
Preaching is nice, in proper context.

Sorry David, I don't mean to sound difficult, but at this point I have yet to have my morning cup of coffee, and am confused as what is acceptable and not acceptable.

My post is there, but the comment regarding preaching is gone.

As best as my recollection serves, it was stated regarding the comments I made about challenging others, especially believers, about concerns of what may be found in the sciences. If our faith is based on more than surface knowledge, then there is no problem, and if not, these things can reveal how deep the roots of our faith go.

But all must go by what the Lord places on their hearts. It was just something to prayerfully consider, that portion of a larger piece.

I believe fear is not to lead us, but faith and love, etc. God can be trusted to sustain us, and even deepen the roots of our faith, but as I said, all must be comfortable with Him on that.

I went on a bit there. I just feel the need to finish my thoughts in that regard.
Thanks. No need to apologise. I hope your problem gets sorted out.

Yeah I like the deep ocean or places where we have not been that much. I love all things Egyptian. There are many individuals now who take you on video tours I guess you call it. But they get special passes and go to all the non tourist places like down deep shafts under the pyramids and other underground ruins.

But what I like is that I can tie this in with biblical history. I can understand the Egyptian world at the time of say Joseph or Moses. Or even back before Abraham and perhaps even to preflood Egypt where tribes still practiced burying their dead in tombs. Its facinating.

Lol a bit like Lassie the dog. I think they are still bred from smart dogs. Red dog is a Kelpie and he gets his name from playng the part in a movie called Red Dog. Red dogs name is Koko and was quiet famous.

But Red dog the original was a legend dog who travelled the outback working with herders and then disappearing to find a new master for a while. Always bring joy to people. He was very smart and could not only read a herd of sheep but people lol.

Its probably best to link some video of how they behave and relate to people. But they are amazing dogs kelpies. My neighbour had one when I was a kid. They are what is regarded as the typical Australian sheep dog.Vert alert, very responsive and I really think they communicate with their eyes.

The pice I gave is a bit misleading as it looks a bit like a wolf lol which is what we are trying to stop. But don't let looks decieve you. THis is truely a shepard in wolfs clothing lol.

I think actually your pic may be a relation to Kelpies if its a sheep dog. They have been cross bred with other herding dogs and like I said I think the lassie breed is a kind of herding or hunting dog. So there are breeds with longer hair.

He gets every single last sheep into the pens and none go missing. But thats their dedication and protective side.

They also have a beautiful and loving nature.

That sounds like a rabbit hole for all sorts of strange and wonderful possibilities lol. Sounds a bit similar to the alien threads or even the one of the Shroud which sort of goes between myth, legend and reality. It can be a bit of light hearted fun. I will keep my eye out on it. Thanks.

Can't get the first video to work. Most likely it's my phone. I'll try again tomorrow. The dog in the second video is a ham.

I have a long haired chihuahua. I don't think he realizes how small he is. He's a real macho man. I open the door for him and he runs out barking up a storm like saying, "Yeah, that's right. I'm out. Who wants to mess with me?"

I don't know where he gets it from.

He's really cute though so it's more cute than anything else, but I have to keep a close eye on him when we are out in public because everyone thinks he's sooo cute and they want to pet him. I have to tell them he is not friendly.

I've tried to socialize him and such, but he just wants to be a guard dog, like it really brings him joy.

He doesn't miss a beat in that department. He is small, but mighty in the Lord.

I grew up with German Shepherds and always wanted one as an adult, but never got one. After this one I don't plan on getting another. Breaks my heart when I have to put them down. He's coming on 13 and still thriving so hopefully he'll still be around for some time. Chihuahuas can last awhile.

It is important to note that a vast number of the participants are American, so political discussion can also equal theology.
Oh, missed commenting on this one. I like to comment on all if it is respectful, but if not (as best as I can detect), prepare for preaching. Either that or having some fun with it to help add a lighter mood.

I mean if one can be rude, why can't the other preach?

So back to the quoted post.

You know what they say about religion and politics.

These things run deep within us and can feel like a personal attack on who we are and our identity. Sonetimes people really are attacking us, but other times they are just sharing from their strong beliefs.

It takes a whole lot of humility from all to discuss these things amicably.

So I had some fun with how messy these things can get. The story is obviously symbolic so keep that in mind if you care to dive in.

Spoiler alert:
For those that don't care for preaching, there is preaching at the end, but I try and share from both sides of the fence, or our horizontal relationship with each other, and end it from our vertical relationship with God.

I think most of us, whether now or in less maturity, can relate to both sides of the fence.

Anyway. Here we go:

Lol I had a cross fox and we think chihuahua. Thats because we got her off a farm where there were lots of other dogs lol. But shes small amd the same when it comes to her bark being bigger than her bite. Foxies anyway are very territorial so they will come out with lots of barks (because thats really all they have lol) though their ankle biters and it can hurt. But also beautiful dogs.
He's really cute though so it's more cute than anything else, but I have to keep a close eye on him when we are out in public because everyone thinks he's sooo cute and they want to pet him. I have to tell them he is not friendly.
Yeah small dogs are like a toy nowadays for their cuteness. But even big dog puppies are cute until they become as big as you. My dad has got a Belgian Malinois. They are basically German Shephards and good herding and guard dogs. BUt 'Shadow' is his name was about up tome waist and he is not even 12 months lol.
I've tried to socialize him and such, but he just wants to be a guard dog, like it really brings him joy.

Yes just like David. His kingdom is you home lol.

I had to have our foxy Skye put down as developed cancer and not much could be done. BUt she was pretty old 11 from memory for a Foxy thats pretty good.

I wrote a sone about her. Actually it was a song about a cat we use to have before Skye so I added a verse in for her lol. I have to include Nancy the cat as she shares the begionning of Skyes verse. Anyway Skyes part goes

Nancy the cat is long gone now, she's used up all her nine lives
now we've got a little foxy terrier whose name is Skye
Skye the dog comes from the bush and her mum lived on a farm
and her bark is bigger than her bite but she wouldn't do you no harm

Then it goes into the chorus

Skye oh Skye your the apply of your mumma's eye
You came in from the bush into our lives.
your a friend and companion always at my side
now your at peace in the big kennel in the sky.

Nancy has her own verse and chorus lol. Just glad there has been no more pets yet. Hate to try and fit a kangaroo or crocadile into the song.
