i agree with you on some points but if nf/bnp get muslims riled and they react to provocation then things will esculate and also by the time of demo the numbers from both sides will be much much higher. do we want to see innocent people getting hurt? i for one dont!!!

Although there have been incidents where Muslims have been treated wrongly, such as in certain cases in Iraq, this group is clearly looking for a huge anti-Islamic conspiracy to gain support.

They claim that arresting people for holding signs that say "Behead those that insult Islam" is an affront to freedom of speech, and yet the Danish cartoons of Muhammed should not be allowed. The latter is an issue of free speech and freedom of the press, the former is incitement to violence and murder. I can perhaps understand the stance that both should be permitted, but the idea that the cartoons should not and the incitement should is ridiculous.

Jack Straw did not 'demand' that women remove their veils, and he didn't say Muslim women in veils are dangerous.

If they think there is such huge oppression in Britain simply because we do not demand that everyone respect Islam, its god and its prophet, let them move to an Islamic country like Saudi Arabia. They'll see what oppression really is when they try to organise any sort of demonstration in that backwards and barbaric fascist state.

I don't think we should be trying to stop this demonstration at all, because this group will only use that to support their exaggerated notions about the oppression of British Muslims. Let them protest freely, so the entire world can see them and laugh at their stupidity as they freely and openly speak out against the government without being silenced, and all the while claim that they are being oppressed.

You're probably right...inasmuch as if we're going to lower ourselves to brutal barbarism, the extremists and criminals won't have to do it for us.

Where the extremists come from the death penalty is law. If we bring back the law two things will happen. 1: people will feel more intimidated. 2: we'll be one step closer to being another country other than Britain. There does need to be tougher laws particularly concerning visas and immigration but changing the way we live to accommodate extremists will get us nowhere.

If they were born here, then they should support the British way of Life. If they do not like it, then they can go live in the country of their ancestors. If they are converts from British stock, then why don't they emigrate to a nice Islamic country where they can live that way of life in Islamic "freedom".

It was their parents choice to come here and live in a free country; it is their choice to remain in this country; and it is the choice of the British convert to remain here. If they feel so oppressed then they should pack up and leave. We do not want traitors to our way of life here, for if there was an Islamic take over bid, (and that is not as far fetched as you may think) we all know what side they would be on. All would be welcomed with open arms in any Islamic country.

Where are you from? you have an NZ flag so why don't you go back to your own country of you don't like the way my country allows people to demonstrate about how the country they live in works? do you find that an offensive an unfair comment? what? look, species is not the same as citizenship is it? if that's the case then I'm Irish, though they wouldn't accept me as Irish, I've never even been there, I don't fit in with the culture. should I go and live in Ireland?
