  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Islam doesn't condone terror

That is what is called blind faith....

Where is your proof, that Muhammad was indeed a prophet and the Quran is from God?? Because the Quran contradict almost everything of the Bible.... While the prophets validate the Bible.... (And the gift of prophecy is still given to man, which is according to Biblical doctrine..)

The doctrine of Christ is LOVE... Not holy war, LOVE...

OH! I think I've figured out what you're talking about... the black stone that's on the side of the Ka'bah.

We are told that it's from Heaven, and we believe Abraham placed it in the Ka'bah wall when he built it.

Is that what Satan looks like?

O.K.- let's for now accept the fact that some verses from the Qur'an "don't mean what you think they mean."

But that still doesn't answer my basic question: do you SlaveOfAllah renounce murder and terrorism?

.

I'm on the other side of the world so you need to give me some time to respond

Yes renounce all murder and terrorism

How do you define 'murder'? If someone speaks out against Muhammed and Islam and is killed, is that 'murder'?

So your version of 'murder' doesn't meet with mine.

To be honest you can call it whatever you want. I'm not going to beat around the bush here but

Killing someone cold blood for no reason whatsoever is unacceptable in Islam

Killing someone for insulting the Prophet is prescribed in Islam because it is blaspehmy be it non Muslim or Muslim

It has to be made clear here that the punishment as the scholars have said can only be carried out by a judge in Islam, not by the general folk.

If I kill someone to get their money that is a reason.

Are you sure that the judge carries out the punishment? Or he carries out the sentence?

Who's the judge?

What if I get a fatwa from one judge is that enough?

No because that isn’t as grave a crime in Islam as insulting the Prophet. And that act which you mention (robbery) already has its prescribed punishment in Islam and its not death

It’s the Judge who passes the sentence. Whoever carries out the actual punishment is one who is aware of how to carry out the punishment

Judge is a qualified person in Islam who has the knowledge to pass judgements like this, referred to in Islam as a “Qadi”.

For example the Qadi of Saudi Arabia used to be Shaykh al-Luhaydan, I don’t know who it is now

Make of this what you will

Okay. I will.

It's stupid and wrong. It's punishing people with death for having different opinions. It's murder.

It reminds me of those people who get in an argument with somebody, then punch them in the face when they know they can't win the argument.

"YOU WRONG! ME SMASH!"

Insulting the Prophet of Islam has its prescribed punishment from the Quran and Sunnah which is execution, be it Muslim or non-Muslim
It's such a peaceful religion....

So much for Jihad only being fought with words...

And would you yourself be willing to murder anyone who does insult "the prophet"...

God save us from this madness...

Can you explain a little more about insulting the Prophet?
Why is anyone given the right to take another persons life because of an insult?
What does Islam put into "insult"?
I,m asking because I find it difficult to understand.

It's not that hard to understand... Muhammad was a tyrant... And as such were his directives...

Qur'an 47:33 "Believers, obey Allah, and obey the Messenger. Do not falter; become faint-hearted, or weak-kneed, crying for peace."

No, peace is such a hateful thing indeed....
