  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If we restricted our study to isaiah 19, your argument would seem to have merit.

Thanks you. I answer to this one sentence: "1. In Chapter 19, judgement against Egypt is pronounced that includes some specifics (e.g., drying up of waters)" and not chap 11 or anywhere else.

So according to you, my answer "would seem to have merit" haha

But you forget Isaiah 11:15, which says, "And the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make mengo over dryshod." Men cannot pass dryshod over a river that has only been partially dried up.

Well first of all, i dont see what this has to do with chap 19 and the Nile, but thats ok, les say it has.
Second, ppl HAVE passed trough waterfilled rivers and even seas "dryshod" in the bible, so i dont see why it is impossible. (eliaha and elisha had a lot of fun doing this!) Noah even walked the earth dryshod after the waters had "dried up" (same words used).

But the real basic argument from my side comes here:
Your argument is based on the english word "dryshod", and it therefor only valid if this translation actually is correct, meaning that they would be able to pass the river without touching water. Well it doesnt mean that, it just means "sandals" or shoes, even it certainly can be used in the SENSE "dryshod".

(strongs: properly a sandal tongue; by extension a sandal or slipper"

The KJV inteprets this to mean that the will be "dryshod", but it only means that they will be able to walk trough the river not using means of transportation. That means it is dried up, as chap 19 clearly said, but not to the point of no water.

And that is the reason why other translations doesn say "dryshod":

Youngs LIteral: "... and shall strike it into seven torrents, and make one tread it with shoes. "

Geneva: "... and shall smite him in his seuen streames, and cause men to walke therein with shooes. "

Good News: "... leaving only seven tiny streams, so that anyone can walk across. "

Gods Word: "... He will wave his hand over the Euphrates River with his scorching wind and divide it into seven streams so that people can walk over it in their sandals. " (here it interprets it to be the euphrates, not the Nile at all)

Hebrew Names: " and will split it into seven streams, and cause men to march over in sandals. "

Lieral Translation of the Hole Bible: ".... and shall strike it into seven torrents, and make one tread it with shoes. "

I would caution you to be careful aout mocking what the scriptures say. You may find that your interpretation is incorrect, and that God really meant his words that these things will happen.
You are only intending to mock what you believe is our incorrect interpretation, But God just mighht judge these words to be mocking His own word. That would be very sad for you, for I truly believe you love him. But if he so judges your work, you will suffer great loss.

Am i really mocking the SCRIPTURES? Come on.

and what about the gematrial number of the meanings of his first,
middle, and last name?... those do add up to 666...

Greetings.

Actually, the gematrial values of the letters in the first, middle, and
last names of Barack Hussein Obama don't add up to 666, but add up
to 793.

The gematrial values of the letters in the alphabet are:

A=1
B=2
C=3
D=4
E=5
F=6
G=7
H=8
I=9
J=10
K=20
L=30
M=40
N=50
O=60
P=70
Q=80
R=90
S=100
T=200
U=300
V=400
W=500
X=600
Y=700
Z=800

So the gematrial values of the first, middle, and last names of Barack
Hussein Obama are:

B=2
A=1
R=90
A=1
C=3
K=20

H=8
U=300
S=100
S=100
E=5
I=9
N=50

O=60
B=2
A=1
M=40
A=1

Total = 793

So Obama can't be the Antichrist, because the gematrial number of
his name isn't 666 (Revelation 13:17b-18). Obama can't be the
Antichrist also because the Antichrist will come from a country the
territory of which used to be part of one of the four Diadochian
kingdoms which succeeded the Greek Empire of Alexander the Great
(Daniel 8:8-9,21-25).

It really restricts the whole 666 to a greek or hebrew name, possibly
a latin name , doesn't it?

Greetngs.

Actually, no; gematrial values can be applied to any alphabet as
follows: the first nine letters are one through nine, the next nine
letters are 10 through 90 (counting by tens), and the rest of the
letters are 100, 200, 300, etc., until the end of the alphabet. The
Old Testament was written in ancient Hebrew because that was the
most common language of believers at the time the Old Testament
was written. The New Testament was written in ancient Greek
because that was the most common language of believers at the
time the New Testament was written. Today the most common
language of believers is English, which has become the lingua franca
of the whole world. So it is reasonable to assume that the
calculation required of believers in Revelation 13:17b-18 (to help
them identify the coming Antichrist) is to be performed in the English
language.
