God is not sad by our failure but our lack of response, it hurts His heart.
He is a God of holiness, He will fight against your sinful agenda. He fight us in His wisdom to wake us up to repent. Is good to know that there is somebody that will fight for us.

Isaiah praying for his and future generations.
We can go back to the days of Moses, Elijah, Peter to remember God's power. How he show it and manifest it through them.
Remembering the days of old makes us press in and contend more for God's power for this generation. If not we will be contend with 'barrenness '.

Warriors king to liberate the city of Jerusalem. They are praying for the Messiah to come down. They want the miracles similar to Moses time when Mount Sinai shook.

God acts for people that waits on Him, He acts when we wait (even though our waiting on God is weak) He wants us to stir ourselves up to lay hold of Him.
