I have a little. FIrst as part of world history in Jr. and Sr. High. Then over the last few years I've taken an interest in the subject. That's why I recognize your errors.

Speaking of world history, have you ever read this?

Mid 24th Century BC Climate Anomaly

Noah's Flood = 2348 BC

And as I pointed out before, the dinosaurs couldn't handle the climate change and most eventually died out.

Interesting, I hadn't seen it before.

Plants drown when covered in water if they aren't used to it. Should a flood have *killed* those trees rather than lower their growth rates?

That's engineering, not geology or biology. Understanding catastrophic failures is *definitely* part of engineering. They just aren't always good at anticipating all of the ways things can fail.

(And the catastrophism you are referring to is a discredited geologic theory. It's the one that claimed all of the basic geological structures were created by Noah's flood. It is not a biological theory either.)
I think that Cuvier, at least, thought that there were many geological catastrophes, with long periods between them, and that these catastrophes were responsible for mass extinctions. In his view, Noah's flood was merely the most recent of these catastrophes.

Am I reading this right in that your suggesting that the dinosaurs died out about 4000 years ago by climate change and not by Noah's flood?

That is correct.

Preserving the dinosaurs was part of God's plan.

That's why He ordered them aboard the Ark.

Genesis 7:13 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
14 They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.
15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.

Notice, by the way, who shut the door?

How long do you think it took after the flood for the dinosaurs to die out?

That's a good question.

I don't know.

They're mentioned in the book of Job, and Isaiah prophetically has God dealing with them in the future.

Which means some of them are still around.

Perhaps they make a comeback during the Tribulation period.

Again, though, I don't know.

But for the dinosaurs collectively, I'd guess they disappeared some 100 or so years after the Flood.

That's pretty quick.

Yup.

I don't know why they were preserved on the Ark.

Some suggest they aided in the clean-up process by eating decayed flesh and such.

But I don't necessarily subscribe to that idea.

What evidence do you have that they were on the ark?

Like I said. Discredited geological theory. (I don't need a wife-beating, tax-fraud to discredit it.)
As if the history of the earth didnt include both
" catastrophe" and gradual processes.

Were the dinosaurs included among 'every beast after his kind' or among 'every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort'?

Beast.

God created the fowls before the beasts.

To wit, birds before dinosaurs.

Day Five:

Genesis 1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

Day Six:

Genesis 1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

Which one of them are verified by the "Cohen gene"? I thought the claim (from when the study was first done) that it was "proof" of the patrilineal descent of the Jewish priesthood and was tied to Aaron the first high priest.
There is a movie that talks about this. A Stranger Amoung Us. I had a crush on Meledy Griffeth at the time. She was trying to seduce the son of a Rabbi. He was trying to explain to her they do not play around like that and how sacred marriage is. The Cohen DNA is pure and reflects all of that. The DNA show us that the "Jewish" people share a common ancestor from 6,000 years ago. Exactly as the Bible tells us. Both matriarch and patriarch. All the evidence science has shows us how accurate and true the Bible is. There is no evidence to show the Bible is NOT accurate and true.

Of course, people argue over translations and interpretations. They shoot themselves in the foot. Science is an open debate also. That is why we have peer review articles. I read those research articles. That is where the discussion needs to be taking place.

I do not see anything in there about random mutations. Of course what they call a mutation is not a mutation at all. It is a frameshift. They were there from the beginning waiting to express themselves.

Melanie Griffith movies are not evidence (and are irrelevant). Even the "genetic evidence" you think is in the plot is the *wrong* kind. If her character had born the son of the Rabbi's son, that baby boy would have the same Y chromosome as his grandfather (the Rabbi). If it was "the Cohen gene" it would have still been passed along.

Diaspora Jews are a middle eastern ethnic groups, even when living outside the middle east. This isn't proof of the bible. The diaspora comes *after* the OT is written.

Not sure how this is relevant, but I've lost track of this thread.

I'm not sure I belive that you do. Or rather, I have doubts that you understand them based on what you write. It might be useful if in some of your arguments (to various questions or topics) you actually cite some of those articles.
That is where the discussion needs to be taking place.

The day before, not one of them existed on the earth.
God declares the end from the beginning. Everything existed in the Beginning. When God asked Job in 38:4 "“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell Me, if you know and have understanding." The answer is YES He was there. God tells him: "Surely you know!" 7 "When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy" It is God's plan to save whosoever is willing to be saved.
