Is YEC science? Is is even really a theory?

Not every Christian is YEC.
Do you pay attention to anything? I never said anything about "every Christian" I just answered the question in the title.

Some Christians (and some ancient Hebrews) understood the Hebrew text in depth and detail, and realized that we are not the first created world to have graced the surface of this earth.

A theological discussion. Wrong board.

Science only slapped the YEC types in the face with the discovery of the prehistoric life. Then science went about it in a secular way by abusing evolution and missed out in better understanding God's plan for man.

"God" isn't something that science studies or cares about. Nor do we care about claims of "god's plan". Not what we do.

Both sides are lost to the truth. Each side is trying the break down an empty fort. 'Nothing to find.'

They're not "sides". Largely speaking, science and religion are asking different questions. It is only when a part of religion dresses itself up as science that we get pseudoscience like creationism.

First know God is real by accepting Jesus Christ.
If you keep rejecting Him dying for your sins?
You will not get your definitive answer you seek to find.
No amount of dogmatism can overcome that haze until you chose correctly.

I was a Jew. I did not know Christ.

Then an "upgrade" from God was given me when I believed.

I began functioning on a different level.

Until then you will remain as being like a DOS computer in the day of wi-fi.

God really changes you and your abilities, if you can believe.
Of course, this all relies on telling me to believe first, and then I'll get the evidence.

But of course, if I convince myself that it's true (not sure how I can MAKE myself believe something like that, but anyway), then I'm going to accept anything that supports my predetermined beliefs. That's no way to find out the truth.

And again, you have NOT answered my question. I will keep asking you until you answer it.

How do you test your "God did it" position? Show me that creationism, in whatever form you believe is true, is falsifiable.

Translation: science can take a hike?
No, religious ideologies that are pretending to be science in an underhanded attempt to get them taught as fact rather than the religious beliefs they are can take a hike.

The creation account preceded science by more than several millennia. Poorly exegeted Scripture creationists sticks its fingers into the gears of science and hurts itself. And, quite a bit of science through it uninformed assumed hypothesis makes the weak creationist feel justified to be against the bad science.

And therein lies a key difference twixt creation documentation and science documentation. The former values antiquity, the latter currency. The former is static, the latter is dynamic, admitting of change.

If you are interested in discussing an "assumed hypothesis" of your choice in a dedicated thread I would be keen to participate.

You can not convince yourself. You would have to become a victim of religious tyranny if that were the case.

You can not test as long as you remain un-regenerated. The believer has seen a much greater thing to prove come to pass in how God makes Himself known to the believer. After that initial shock? Understanding "God did it" comes easy. It becomes spiritually instinctive like birds flying to a warmer climate when winter is about to arrive.

For me to see the stars and the universe as we have come to know more about them? To think that all could happen by chance? I would have to have about my soul a gigantic sense of emptiness while accepting it as the reality to believe. I believe the greatest thrill for the scientific genius will be to sit at the Lord's feet to give classes explaining the mysteries to the creation's functions and structure.

Irrelevant. Older doesn't mean better.

Poorly exegeted Scripture creationists sticks its fingers into the gears of science and hurts itself. And, quite a bit of science through it uninformed assumed hypothesis makes the weak creationist feel justified to be against the bad science.

I thought I knew where this was going, and then it just went sideways. It looks like you are claiming "bad science makes creationism justified". That's not how things work.

I beg to differ. Young Earth creationists do not represent the ancient manuscripts. Manuscripts that spoke of prehistoric worlds long before science finally arrived on the scene. I takes knowing the Hebrew text to verify what I say.

Stars form by gravity.

Makes young earth creationism *think* and feel its justified. Not, making it justified. For its not justified.

I ain't your daddy. Gravity comes from the curvature of spacetime.
And, where does that come from, daddy? From nothing?

Nothingness has made everything there is? How is that, daddy?

Even a little child has enough sense to know these are real questions you will not be able to answer as long as you remain within the framework you choose.

Since you can't converse civilly, we are done.

No form of creationism is itself, to
my knowledge, considered to be science
rather than a belief system.

Again, you can't answer the question. All you can do is present an argument from incredulity.

What kind of evidence is it you think you would need?

If you think Jesus never existed? I would wonder why.
