Is wanting to cry when talking about Jesus a good sign?

recently 20 minutes ago i felt a need to talk about the lord and am feeling it right now and its wanting to make me cry so bad.

it made me feel awesome in side i recently got with god and my life has been getting much better and randomly i said out loud that i am saved is this a sign that i am in good stands with the lord?

Yes and no.

No, because emotionalism and emotions generally are not a sign of your salvation or of your good status with the Lord.

On the other hand, they may indicate that you are serious and real in your faith, not just a pretender. And the real faith is what makes you right in God's eyes, so, partially, yes.

So i didn't cry but i randomly started taking about Jesus and wanted to cry a few minutes later so this means my faith in Jesus is actually real?

This is not enough information to determine if your faith in Jesus is real.

Faith is a lot more about actions than feelings.

yes it is a good sign. You're going to heaven when you die. If you live another 50 years and you don't have money, there is a chance you will suffer quite a bit. Suffering is not a requirement to christian living. Our salvation from eternal suffering is dependent on us accepting Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross.

The woman who washed Jesus' feet with her tears, kissed them, anointed his feet with oil, and dried them with her hair, would relate.

Tears are inexplicable, in that they can not always be "explained". Yet God understands their language perfectly. Tears are so precious to Him that He "saves" them in a bottle, as David writes in Psalms. David and Job cried oceans of tears. So did Jeremiah. Jesus wept as well.

Tears are, in essence, an "offering" to God.

A very precious one.

Watched some videos about god and my parents encouraged
me to do so and then after that i believed Jesus was real and that he died for are sins. i haven't read the bible yet but my parents are telling me some stuff out of the bible i'l be sure to read the bible today.

Soak up the bible... Start with the Gospel of Luke and read forward from there. Pray about everything, He cares about every little detail in life. Faith grows as we read His Word. Having Jesus deep in your life is indeed awesome.

It can be a sign that God has softened your heart towards Him. Keep seeking Him by spending time in the Bible and in prayer. It sounds like your parents are Christians, so it would be a good idea to learn about God from them.

It's an action of the Holy Spirit and a sign of love for Jesus.

This happens often with new Christians and it might eventually fade, or maybe not.

If it does, don't be concerned....We know with our heart and mind that we are saved...not by an emotion.
Sometimes, for instance, we can even feel that God has abandoned us so we must rely on what we know..not what we feel We know that God will never abandon us.

It's a sign of joy.

Dude you are good. It is natural to get emotional when confronted with the magnitude of God's love for you.

Don't over think it and don't sweat it. Continue to use your mind and your heart both to follow Jesus and you will be fine.

You believe in Jesus, but sometimes you doubt if you believe in Jesus? I am not sure if I understand what you mean.

Everyone experiences this at times. Our faith is weak because that is part of the human condition. When you feel like you don't have enough faith try asking the Lord to bolster you.

I kind of say this to everyone, but that's because it has helped me so often. When your faith is low, serve the Lord. Watch what work God will do in your spirit as you serve others. It will strengthen your faith.

I am not saying your works will help you feel like you have earned your salvation. Works done to earn salvation will do nothing. Works done to serve the God you have already submitted your life and will to out of the fruit of the Holy Spirit can fill you with faith.

I am probably unable to think in this way. You either know God is there or you doubt it. If you doubt it, study it untill you will be certain. Similarly to basic Christian teachings. If you doubt, get deeper to know more.

There is an intellectual part and then there is internal part - you must be born again from God and have the Holy spirit in you.
