I challenge you to attend a TDOR vigil this November and hear the list of names of people beaten, burned, shot, hanged, run over, knifed, bludgeoned, and otherwise obliterated simply for being themselves. Then come back and read what you just posted.

I know people from Africa whose people were raped and murdered and tortured during genocide wars. They don't get together every November and hold hands and cry about it. They don't kill themselves more often than other people. They thank God they are alive and in the good old US of A.

Not so long ago they would not have had the option of running off and doing what they did, but in these enlightened times it seems like society is permissive of people engaging in behavior that can get them killed. Should this be as it is or is it time to put some things back in the closet in the interest of saving lives?

I've mentioned a couple of times this scenario.

They are by definition not even homosexual. They are bisexual.

There is no such thing as homosexuality in the sense that liberals describe it.

Sorry but first off this has nothing to do with transgendered and heterosexuals are the ones, more often, getting AIDS. Before AIDS for a thousand years it was STDs that killed. Before the 1950's (antibiotics) STD were a death sentence also.

I believe this is why the Lord takes sexual activity so seriously bc there is life and death within it but that goes for everyone. It makes and destroys lives and families... more often in heterosexuals than the LGBT community.

I don't need to understand a story to know how viruses work. AIDS is a disease that doesn't care who you have sex with, get a needle from or what. If you are exposed to it, there is a strong chance you can get it. You do realize that babies can get it, yes?

I'm not arguing anything about who has more of it. What I'm arguing against is the utter absurdity that it is directed toward a particular group of people.

It's a virus. It has one purpose: to propagate itself. If a person never has sex with an infected person, then no matter how sinful the sex is, they will not get the virus. If a person has enough sex with a single infected person, no matter how non sinful the sex is, they are at risk of infection.

Majority? A 2005 statistics said that half of all HIV infections in the US were in heterosexuals. In Africa and Asia it's even more heavily skewed towards heterosexuality. In the US, the fastest growing demographic for HIV is straight women.

Why is that relevant to anything being discussed here? I've seen this thrown around in ethical debates concerning the LGBT community as though that is some kind of knockdown argument against it. If it were you'd have to inconveniently endorse lesbianism, since they exhibit lower in risk and rates in comparison to heterosexuals. I doubt you would ever make such a move.
