Are you all trying to say that "lust" equals "sin"?

I'd be very careful then. Jesus himself "lusted". He lusted after his last passover meal. That's the word he used himself to describe it.

I'm just saying be careful with words.

Scripture please. Also Jesus said in Matthew 5:27-28 that lust equals adultery and adultery as we all know is a sin.

What do you think about when you touch? Do you use any aids, visual, audio, etc.?

I don't think or look at anything. Its the clearest point in my day, when my mind is free to think about absolutly nothing.

but, this does not make it any less of a sin.

It is impossible for a man to achieve anything sexual without a thought.

Well, I am sure that a man cannot come to full satisfaction by his own hand without some sensual thought. If he says he does, he lies to himself and to others to hide the truth that he lusts.

If he can, then he is an automaton and has another deep problem of his mind and heart. god did not create men that way. He created them to enjoy the act of sex with his wife, and not to be robotic about it.

believe me, it starts as sexual enjoyment, and then you start just lusting the act itself, you become consumed by it. After a while its all you can think about.

you start doing it like once a week and then once a day and then several times a day...I mean, it's only natural, right?

Its still enjoyable, but to me it was more enjoyable to think about nothing. Or perhaps I didn't think I was sinning if I thought about nothing, but since I have so many thoughts flowing through my mind all the dang time, it was a reliefe to have an enjoyable moment that I could just be at peace. What I didn't relize was that it was a false peace, it didn't matter how many times I did it, I only wanted to do it more.

"(13) Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, (14) but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.""
John 4:13-14

You are right when you say it was a false peace. That whole behaviour is a counterfeit in the first place.

It depends which of your two natures you're talking about here. If you're talking about your sin nature, then yes I agree with you, it's only natural. If you however, are talking about your new spiritual nature in Christ, then no, it is not natural.

Masturbation is not sex.

What about the 40 year old Virgin? What if he came on this forum and was like, "Guys I can't get married. What Am I gonna do? I've been trying to give up masturbation but its not working."

Surely you cannot tell this man to stop masturbaiting.

If God wanted me to be celebant my entire life, I would accept that. I am hoping that I live much longer than 40.

Everyone sins, and everyone (including myself) will always continue to sin.
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"
Romans 3:23
I wouldn't tell him to stop sinning, i would tell him to repent and ask Jesus into his heart.

You cant be TOLD not to sin, you have to WANT not to sin.

Christians are not Bound by the Law (the 10 commandments) because Jesus has forgiven us of all of our sins.
So, yes, Christans CAN do whatever they want....they just Don't because they don't WANT TO.

You see, its a WANT TO not a HALF TO.

No, you don't HAVE TO stop masterbating.
I didn't either.
But, I WANTED TO because I love him, and I want to show HIS GLORY!

I love you,

"Masturbation is not sex."

Someone clearly wasn't paying attention in sex-ed. LOL It's called "solo sex" for a reason.

"What about the 40 year old Virgin?"

He's a fictional character.

You're right we can't, because he doesn't exist!!!

Christians are bound by God's moral law, it's the ceremonial and sacrifical laws we don't obey. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. His standards of acceptable behavior don't change. The moral law is still in effect. Ask Jesus into your heart? What verse is that?

It is impossible for a man to achieve anything sexual without a thought.
This is a lie, and you should stop spreading it. You know full well that this isn't true.

I realize that YOU have horrendous problems with lust and masturbation, and that you can't even imagine masturbation apart from vile and perverted lustful thoughts - much like a raving alcoholic, though he has stopped drinking, is unable to separate alcohol itself from his addiction and problems.

But please, let YOU problem be YOUR problem and stop imposing it on everybody else. The fact that you are unable to have a natural relation to yourself and to your own sexuality doesn't mean everybody else are. In other words, speak for yourself. Don't speak for me, and more importantly, don't speak for God.

This attitude you're showing, where you claim to speak for the Lord in all your vile sarcasm and poisonous accusations, is actually more fleshly and perverted than any masturbation is. It's unnatural, it's theft, it's blatant ABUSE of the bible, of the name of the Lord, and of people.

Absolutely true. That is why gay sex, for example, is a sin, but we are not bound to enforce the death penalty for it. That is why raping a virgin is still a sin, but we are not legally bound to marry her anymore.

Ask Jesus into your heart? What verse is that?
The answer has been posted... but strangly none of the verses posted are that verse. Hard to find something that doesn't exist. Ironically, the verse saying that touching yourself is sinful doesn't exist either. :)
