After all, God said we can't have sex unless we're married, so what else are we supposed to do for release?

You gird up your mind and use self-control, and serve God in all you do! That's what! Be an upright man of God!

You aren't helpless and hapless, driven by your flesh! You are above such things with Jesus Christ living in you, and you aren't helpless to control your urges either! Jesus is your model. Follow Him.

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

The guy is 41 and your telling him hes naughty and needs more self control? *sigh*

Its something thats natural, that people do when they are not married. Its not perverted, its not lustfull, its just a fact of life. Most men who are not christian and married also do it.

Basically, the only people who don't do it are some Christian married people. Mostly the women really. I kind have noticed most married adult males generally say they would do it. Any of the men on here telling you not to do it, would be lyeing if they said they were not doing it themselves at some time.

Do you wanna listen to man and women, who aren't you. Or do you wanna listen to God? Because God is telling us that there is no harm in it. And no one has provided a scripture that is litteraly talking about mastubation being a sin.

Floating Axe isn't a young male, or a male. Its very different for males. She understands nothing of this matter. All she thinks shes knows about it is that its suppose to be a sin. But has she ever been a man? Has she ever felt the need to release? No ofcourse not. She just wants us to feel guilty after every time we masturbait. But I refuse to feel guilt when I have done no sin.

Yeah, how about some scriptures to back up your claim about what God is and isn't telling you. Did ya ever find any of those?

"And no one has provided a scripture that is litteraly talking about mastubation being a sin."

Yeah and no one will find a scripture that specifically says partial birth abortion is murder, but somehow you just know it is.

I don't need to find a scripture thats talks about it not being a sin. But YOU do need to find one saying its wrong if you expect more people to believe it. But you can't provide one.

Partial Birth Abortion, and Masturbation. In no way are they related.

I have already provided them. If you can't figure out what they're saying or how to apply them, that's something you need to work on then. Once again 1 Corinthians 6:13-20.

"Partial Birth Abortion, and Masturbation. In no way are they related."

You still don't get it. They are related in the sense that the Bible doesn't come right out and say that partial birth abortion is a sin, yet you just know it is. It's exactly like masturbation.

A 41 year old has the same capability to fall into a trap as a 19 year old youth who is misguided also, thinking it is natural! Any excuse to indulge!

You know nothing of the patterns you have stated! God certainly does not approve, and you have also fallen for the lies of the enemy. Such easy targets, I am sure the devil is laughing his sick head off right now!

Your infantile remark about my not being male so I know nothing of it is simply---infantile!

Refuse the guilt all you like. Your account is racking up.

Mind your manners, young man!

I do agree that masturbation, on its own, is not a sin. Yet, sin most often accompanies it. What do you think of when you're having a go, huh? Be honest. Why tempt yourself?

Basically, the only people who don't do it are some Christian married people.
Wow... do you really believe that? Have you ever left your bubble of American paradigm?

"Have you ever left your bubble of American paradigm?"

Given his vigorous defense of masturbation he's probably never left his bedroom! LOL

Why do we touch in the first place? First we find that if we touch ourselves it feels good. It becomes repetition and we dont want to stop. Why do we feel ashamed after masturbating? Its because it is a sin. Its indulgence just like gluttony. There are actual chemicals(testosterone/androgen) that are released after there is a climax. We become addicted to that feeling and release of hormone. It is indulgence(even if your not lusting after someone) which is a sin.

Not true. I am only defending it because I know the truth.

The only reason people feel guilty after doing it is because Relgious people tell them that it is a sin and needs to be stopped. The person eventually does it again and then feels guilty. When I was 14 I would masturbait before going to bed everynight, then I heard a minister preaching its wrong and told mysef I simply have to stop this forever. And I would feel so guilty after doing it. But now I know the truth. And I feel no guilt.

Plus, you can get prostate cancer if you never do it.

Have you ever listened to Dr. Dru. He said prostate cancer, and other medical people as well said it.
But im not positive about the prostate cancer.

It says from the very beginning "No one knows what causes prostate cancer". The reason we feel guilty after doing it is because it IS sin. When i first started doing it i didnt feel guilty because someone told me, it was because i knew that it was a sin. Its just like after we eat a ton of food and feel guilty because weve been a glutton, same deal with masturbation. Serotonin is a chemical released after eating carbohydrates (sugars and starches). It enhances calmness, improves mood. People get addicted to this chemical, as well as sexual hormones, and induldge in food, which is a sin.

You are wrong. Guilt comes from the deep inner knowledge that you have just displeased God. You need to heed your pastor.

You feel no guilt now because you have successfully quenched the Holy spirit and He has stopped speaking to you.

Cancer? Hah! Not sinning never causes any disease. That is the most inane statement I have read yet! That is a lot of bunk created for gullible people.

He wasn't my Pastor he was a guy at a Youth Camp. Part of his speech was Interenet Porn and the other was masturbation was a sin. Interenet Porn I can see being a sin but masturbation itself I can no longer believe.

The Hoy spirit still is inside me I am sure. Its not a sin so It isn't telling me that it is.

You may think Cancer sounds crazy, But im not sure. It has raised some questions in my mind. Its something I heard on the radio a long time ago.

The Holy Spirit does tell you that it is a sin--that is why you had guilt as a young boy! But the more you disobey His voice, He will eventually leave you in your sin.

You need to listen to God's Word, young man, and the small, yet powerful voice of the Holy Spirit, who says to you, "Come on, is this something that God is pleased to see you doing? You can live better than this." Stop listening to the world's voice and listen to Him. He would be happy to have you acknowledge Him.

Well, there is no "harm" in downloading pirated songs/movies off the net, but its still stealing however you slice it.

touching yourself is something that I've stuggled with for a long time. I put the verse above, because its what led me to realize that I was being sexualy imoral against my future wife. I want to preserve my purity as much as I can for her, because I love her.

Also, about releasing..
I find this is a bit of a problem for me also, I recently stopped masterbating cold turkey, but what happend when I did this was I started masterbating in my sleep. I will wake up right before ejactulation, unable to stop what I'm doing. Its almost like sleep walking, but being awake to see where you are going...
anyway, just a couple days ago I found out that God made our testicals really cool, because to produce sperm they have to be at about 92 degrees. This is why when its cold they shrivvel up and when its hot they hang low, they are trying to make it the perfect temperature to make sperm. So, if you were no underwear, or loose underwear, your testies will get as much freedome to create as much sperm as they want. If you were tighter underwear, they wont be able to, because the temperature will be too warm. Isn't that cool? Less sperm = less of a need of a release.
Also, the more infrequently you touch the less your body will feel the need to produce sperm. Your body wants to replicate the species, but I think that we have to teach our bodies that it isn't time yet.

I think the first step is admiting that its a sin, it took me 6 years to admit that it was a sin, but the real work comes after that.

Stay pure....because I know that you love your wife.

Surely you are joking! You actually put quotes around that?

It's a joke, right?

Don't be flip. The Holy Spirit is a gentle voice, not harsh. He speaks to me like that. I speaking to the poster earnestly. There is no need to mock.
