Is this statement about Mary blasphemous?

Mary is not God's mother! God does not have a mother! God has always been. He is the Alpha and the Omega.

Mary was just a vessel to bring forth the Savior, nothing more. If God had not chosen her, He would have chosen another woman.

the term does not refer to God the Father but God the Son, it was a title giving to her, Theotokas(God bearer) at the Third Council, long before there was Catholic Church as you know it today, to battle heresy of the time that Christ wasn't born divine.

If you believe that Christ is God then if you properly understand the term and why it can to be then you would actually agree with it 100% and for the record as Lacon. has stated Mother of God is a title that is well accepted in most of Christianity, apparently it's only the Evangelicals that can't seem tho grasp the concept.

The Holy Scriptures state that Mary conceived, the Holy Scriptures refer to Mary as "the child's mother" (Luke).

"Mother of My Lord"

not surrogate or disposable storage trunk of my Lord as Shinbit's church teaches.

Red Flags abound that congragation

So Christ fed Himself as an infant ?

Would you argue that He walked at birth, and was self-sufficient.

Do you hold that there was no placenta ?
smh. I just told you that Jesus was human, so he was raised like humans were.

The Gospel of Luke records that Mary conceived and became pregnant.
With Jesus? Post the passage that says that.

Doesn't matter, really. Conceive merely means to get pregnant. Surrogates can get pregnant even though the child isn't theirs.

"And Joseph and His mother were marvelling ..." Luke 2:33
"And Symeon blessed them, and said to Mary His mother ..." Luke 2:35
"Arise and take the young Child and His mother ..." Matthew 2:13

Please answer my question from before, do you believe Christ was 100% Human 100% Divine?
Yes.

And you could tell us what "church" you belong to?
I said it already, I go to a non-denominational church.

And why do you continue with ad-hominems? When it's pointed out that you not only used circular logic, but have bad reading comprehension, instead of acknowledging it, you instead use childish distraction, like asking what "church" I go to, putting it in quotation marks as if my church is something less than what you go to.

Ad-hominems = fallacious arguments. Your positions on Mary have been "supported" with theologically fallacious arguments.

If your "church" teaches Mary was only a vessal and had nothing to do with his humanity it not only misses God's entire point of why he chose this method to bring Christ into the world then it also teaches very unorthodox theology.

You keep saying Non denom. church which is like trying to stick jell-o to a wall. What church do you belong to, a name etc. Non denoms can be all over the spectrum in Christian theology.

Well said.

Thank you. I don't know why there is so much emphasis put on Mary, who was just a woman, born in sin like everyone else. Jesus was the only Person on this planet who had never sinned.

"Then Jesus' mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to call Him. A crowd was sitting around Him, and they told Him, 'Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you.' 'Who are My mother and My brothers?' He asked. Then He looked at those seated in a circle around Him and said, "Here are My mother and My brothers! Whoever does God's will is My brother and sister and mother'" (Mark 3:31-35).

I also think that Jeremiah 7:18 is a very interesting verse since Catholics call Mary the "Queen of Heaven".

Jesus Christ was fully man and fully God.
Agreed.

"And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call His name Jesus." Luke 1:31
I notice how you skipped the part of my post that says "conceive" just means to get pregnant. That's something a surrogate can do.

Does this mean that the Gospels of Matthew and Luke teach error ?

So? Conceive just means to become pregnant. A surrogate can do that.

but you insisted that she did not 'conceive' and challenged Thekla to prove it via scripture and now it becomes "SO" ?

Do surrogates raise their Children? Did God snatch Christ up at his time of birth? And Mary never saw him again?
