Is this possible?

Hey there. Peace! I am a str0ng muslim. I just want an opinion though if anyone here is learned. I frequently hear in my mind (if that's possible! LOL) a voice saying "the lord hath saved you. The holy spirit calls." And i see flashes of a cr0ss and church altars. I am so firm in my religion, but who knows what this means. I am serious. This happens so often, i am really curious to know if anyone may have an opinion. Thanks

I rather envy you; its not many of us who get these strange experiences.

I suppose there are two explanations :

one, that God is truly calling you. These things do happen, to some people, once in a while, which is not completely outside of the realm of possibility, you know. If God exisits, surely He can speak to people.

Two, that the voice is rising from your sub-conscious mind. Something about the cross or being called by the Holy Spirit has been heard by you, or said to you, and this is your own mind recollecting it. Its not a hallucination, going by your description, so don't worry that you're losing it, LOL!

How does the experience make you feel...scared, angry, stunned, freaked out?

Either way, its worth thoughtfully pondering whats going on.

It is not strange. Every Christian as a similar event. It is how God leads people to faith. God wants you to know that He provided you peace, proper relationship, and salvation through His mercy. The mercy that is given is all on His part. On your part, you demonstrate that peace, relationship, and salvation to others by being merciful, loving, and generous to others, even those you hate you.

As to the vision of a cross and church altars, there is at least one church in your area that teaches the simple message of the Cross. This is where He is waiting to introduce Himself to you. The next move is yours.

God knows your devotion, and how conscientious you are.

He knows our hearts. He knows how you have reacted to situations within the realm of your religion. Try not to think of this mysterious message as an appeal to switch religious practices, but to meet someone, and grow to understand Him better.

I can't help you with that. If God is trying to get your attention, try asking Him what you should do next. It should be said that even some demons pretend to be angels of light, so be careful.

Actually, there are many Muslims being called to salvation through dreams of Jesus, so I do not think it's a stretch to believe that a similar thing could be happening to you. It's true that He loves all of the people on the earth, and that your salvation is paid for in full, all you have to do is accept it and thereafter identify yourself with Jesus. Of course I understand that in your situation it may be hard - but for many it is hard, at least at first. But Jesus will be with you.....

Reports of similar experiances have come in from many different parts of the World. It seems that God is calling you out to Him. May you hear the call and trust in The Lord Jesus who has saved us.

Hi Sayan,

Welcome to the forums. The term "strong muslim" (or "strong christian" for that matter) is an interesting one. Does it mean "committed to a religion" or "committed to following the true God". There are many people who are committed to a religion, but there are comparatively few who are truly committed to seeking God.

As we grow up, we are each taught something about the existence (or otherwise) of God. If we are really seeking the true God (not a "religion") we each need to evaluate our beliefs & ask God to reveal the truth to us. You need to do the same with the voices and flashes you are experiencing. When I was 18 I also heard a voice at a point when I really needed it. I had never experienced anything like it, and I immediately knew it was God speaking to me. It was a landmark in my search for God, and maybe God will use your recent experiences as a landmark in yours.

It could be that there is a strong call when you have this experience. How long have you been Muslim? What is the basis of your faith?

I would love to explain how a muslim Friend converted to Christianity.

A muslim friend has similar experience, that person was a strong muslim and utterly believed in Koran. One day that friend started having recurring dreams of, some one talking them and talking to them about love, acceptance and things like that.

That muslim friend always wondered why it was happening to them, again one night, that person had a dream and a bright light flashed in the form of saying, I have accepted Just come to me and you will receive me. This really scared the muslim friend, however, they tried to recite the prayer and went on the knees and Just started talking to what they saw in the dream, they had an amazing experience that night, cause that person was crying and crying and couldnt stop, they just shared all their bitterness, hatred and everything in their heart that seemed to disturb them all the time. They had been looking for answers for a long time. That night after that prayer, they had an amazing experience of Christ talking to them and received Christ that night.

Since that day, the muslim friend has been telling about their experience and a living faith to many other muslims.

When you receive God, its just an experience that you wont be able to fathom and it is true.
