Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
This is a great teaching to Jesus' disciples, and there have been many interpretations, but I haven't heard this one.
It means that Jesus will be the final judge, jury and executioner. That he stands before every human and no one can escape judgment.
I was thinking how he could do this? And I thought well, maybe he controls gravity. Gravity affects every object in the universe and wherever you are. One cannot escape it even if they build a vacuum chamber.
Backstory: One of the best arguments I've heard from an atheist is as follows. During the debate between Christian apologist William Lane Craig and ASU professor Lawrence Krauss, Krauss mentioned that he would have to reassess his views if God rearranged the stars into reading, "I'm here." However, a few days later an atheist countered with only the people in that part of the hemisphere would see it. The other half wouldn't and presumably either ignore it or only read about it in the news for them to decide. His point was every single non-believer has to be convinced of God's existence. No easy feat by any means.
