Is there a DIFFERENCE between Dispensation and Covenant ??

Hi to all , and is there a difference between a Dispensation and a Covenant ??

OIKONOMIA/DISPENSATION , does not means administration, or ecomony or dispensing .

If you look in VINE'S ;

OIKOS , means House .

NOMOS , means Law .

Then , Dispensation means House Law , and the Laws of the House are just some of them :

#1 , Eternal life
#2 , Salvation by Grace
#3 , Departure /Rapture
#4 ,Chosen " in Christ " before the Overthrow of the world
#5 , Justification
#6 , The Ministry of Reconciliation
#7 , Redemption
#8 , Given a New Nature
#9 , Given the Revelation of the Mystery
#10 , PLACED into the Body of Christ
#11 , Given the ONE Baptism

Just to mention a few that Paul has written about


DIATHEKE/COVENANT , can be translated by the following English words;
#1 , Contract
#2 , Aggreement
#3 , Will
#4 , A Promise

Covenants are either Conditional or Unconditional and the remaining Covenants are ALL UN-conditional and God will keep His Promises .

There are yet 4 Covenants that are yet to be put into operation .

#1 , The Abrahamic is impleminted during the Mellinniem
#2 , The Palestinian is impleminted during the Mellinniem
#3 , The Davidic is impleminited during the Mellinnium
#4 , The New Covenant is impleminted at the BEGINNING of the Millennium ,

You can not have one in Operation WITHOUT THE OTHER THREE ., as they all go Together .

The New Covenant incluses '

#1 , All Israel regathered , in verse Ezek 36:24
#2 , Baptized/Cleansed , v 24
#3 , Cleanse from Idols
#4 , Given a New Heart , verse 26
#5 , And given a New Spirit
#6 , Given New Statures and Judgments to Obey .

Another big difference is that Israel's HOPE is the earth and they will be a Kingdom of Priests and Kings , Rev 1:6 and Ex 19:6 and GENTILES never MIX Jews and Gentiles not can anyone provide a verse !!

The Body of Christ hope is Heavenlies and that is where we are seated NOW , Eph 1:3

The New Covenant is NOT THE SAME as Eph 2:8 , Saved by Grace , dan p

OP, perhaps I'm misunderstanding your position but it seems you are suggesting that the New Covenant does not equal Saved By Grace... In your opinion, what does the New Covenant equal?

There is a difference between Covenant Theology and Dispensationalism is like the difference between air and rock. The two can not be reconciled.

A particular dispensation may have a covenant within but the difference remains the same. Our dispensation today contains no covenant as applied to us.. The new covenant is made with Israel and the house of Judah and has conditions that are not seen today. Jeremiah 31:31.

That was written in 63 AD. Notice the verb tenses and the change in relationship between the Jew and Gentile. Israel is not "first" for the time being until our calling is manifested to the Heaven far above all. We are not "raptured". Colossians 3:4.
Our dispensation is a "gap filler". The Parable of the Patch.
***2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
