Hello! I'm very curious about this topic!

Hey, so I'm pretty young in my (new) faith, considering becoming an ex-adventist after 18 years (I am 18) because now that I'm away from home, I have been reading the Bible for MYSELF and not listening to what people tell me like how it was in the past, and my beliefs have shifted that of my entire family.

Growing up, I did not know what to think about other people who worship on Sunday, because Adventists worship on Saturday (not only Adventists. I'm sure there are other denominations that worship on Saturday and Jews). I was taught that Sunday worship was the mark of the beast all my entire life, and that Saturday was the true perfect day of rest and whoever worships on Saturday has the seal of God (quoted from Ellen G White). Now I'm at college, away from home, and I joined a christian fellowship group; with no one who is an Adventist. I see all these Jesus loving people who don't worship on Sunday and at first I questioned their salvation, since they have the mark of the beast because of Sunday, but now I go to church on Sunday also where most of the sermons aren't one dimensional towards just a denomination.

Just still in the waters about this question. People say it is a microchip, Sunday worship, or that those prophecies in Revelation already happened with Emperor Nero.

It is also very hard to open up to my parents about my new faith and leaving Adventism. I am not doing it out of disrespect, but because I want my relationship with Christ to grow, which I think they will despise.

I'm open to plenty of insight, thanks for your time! :)

"who don't worship on Sunday and at first I questioned their salvation, since they have the mark of the beast because of Sunday"

Sounds like perhaps you misunderstood the teaching(s) or some things not taught properly. No one has the mark of the beast, yet. People who worship on Sunday or Saturday does not define whether they are saved or not and it is not up to us humans to judge whether a person is saved or not. Let the Lord and His Word be your guide.

God Bless.

Thank you so much for your response. I'm aware I've misunderstood a lot while growing up. I see now that salvation is not dependent upon which day we worship, or the food we eat, but my mind always gets boggled because of the stuff my parents teach me. Thank you again, I live daily by His word

I’m not very knowledgeable but we do go to church on Sundays but it can be any day really
It is a gathering of believers coming together to worship Jesus it doesn’t have to be in a building
If a few of us sat down together in fellowship that is church.
We are all Christ’s followers coming together
I guess we are all used to going to church on a Sunday and that is a wonderful thing but if I went to a evening service on a Wednesday I can still worship the Lord at that service
God bless you

No matter who you learn from ... even your parents and maybe especially your parents, have them show you in Gods Word ... always do independent study. Here is a good resource for you, you can run various searches topically and get a broad overview of things you may have on your mind. www.biblehub.com

May the Lord lead you through His Holy Word always.

Yes the mark of the beast is Sunday Worship(at least in part) but it will not be enforced until the time of the Mark of the beast as described in Rev 13. Until it becomes a law that a person cannot buy or sell without worshiping on Sunday and those who refuse will be put to death, then it is not the time of the Mark. The seventh day Adventists have a very good understanding of this and it sounds as though you were not instructed in the word properly/sufficiently by your ministers.

I would advise you to look it up for yourself and seek out some SDA ministers to speak with(either online or in person at your Church). And if you are looking for other doctrines to study from (that are in agreement for the most part with what the SDA's teach but containing more truth) you should look into Victor T Houteff's writings, you will find a wealth of information and knowledge, especially from Shepherd's rod vol 1 1990 edition.

But first and foremost seek out a teacher from within the Seventh day Adventist Church and at the same time do your own study into the fulfillment of the whole Mosaic law and other concepts foreign to the Seventh day Adventist Church. Just be very careful not to be lead away from what truth you currently hold.

Try everything by the word of God alone.

So ... you actually believe that the government is going to enforce a day of worship ???

If Sunday worship was somehow the mark of the beast it would mean that the entire Church has been completely abandoned by God for two thousand years.

I have to admit that I have nothing good to say about people who make such claims.

Yes, that is what we are shown. Sunday worship(as the Sabbath day) is abominable to the Lord and the World Government/Religious Power enforces it by Law. We are commanded to keep the Lord's Sabbath day holy and only those who keep The seventh day sabbath will be permitted entrance into the valley of the Mountain, and those in the New heavens and the New earth will keep the Sabbath day.

It hasn't been enforced by law by the One world government during the time of the Mark of Beast at the time of the Seven vials being poured out. Until then everyone who does contrary is judged by the Knowledge they have received. So worshiping on Sunday for those who do not know it is wrong is not a damnable offense to those in ignorance of the Truth.

I Definitely think the mark of the beast will be the microchip implant. (Revelation 13:15-18)
Since it will be tied to buying/selling(cashless society) and it's inserted in the hand or forehead.

I talk about it more in the link below.
The Secrets of The Gospel: GPS Microchip in the works?

Thank you for being open to truth.
No, Sunday worship is not the mark of the beast. Going to church on Sunday has nothing to do with buying or selling, and never will. If there were a worldwide Sunday law, one could still buy or sell the other 6 days of the week. There will never be a universal or national Sunday law, ever.
That is a false prophesy. And those who proclaim it are false prophets.
If it were true, precious few Christians would be saved before 1870, because the vast majority of Christians went to church on Sunday before EGW came up with this doctrine and started a church based on this chief cornerstone. (what does SDA stand for?)

Quote from Justin Martyr about 150 CE;
We all make our assembly in common on Sunday, since it is the first day, on which God changed the darkness and matter and made the world, and Jesus Christ our Savior arose from the dead on the same day. For they crucified him on the day before Saturn’s day, and on the day after (which is the day of the Sun) he appeared to his apostles and disciples and taught these things, which we have offered for your consideration.

And most Christians did likewise until about 1870 when EGW established the SDA church and ......
Sad truth is SDAs don't keep the Sabbath either, they only go to church on Saturday.
Most will kindle fires, start cars, carry loads, buy and sell, and ................................etc.
Yet condemn the rest for "not keeping the Sabbath"
Matt 7:1-2,
Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Here are a couple more links that you might find helpful. The first one is by an former Seventh-Day Adventist and it catalogs his studies, as he waded through the wrong teachings of the SDA~~~> Leaving Adventism . The 2nd is an article on how to leave the SDA church~~~> How to Leave the Seventh Day Adventist Church - Leaving SDA . God bless!
