The IRC would have you believe that those flows occurred during a short time period during the last stages of the flood, which wouldn't have been a very long period of time at all. The 350 different eruptions along with the the depth of basalt in the Tri-City area of about 3 miles makes the ICR spin impossible.I just wanted to show you that "your side" isn't as embarrassed as you might think.

I've harvested petrified wood between layers at a road cut. For cooling it depends upon depth. Some areas' may take years to cool.I've driven through there. You can see how it's layered, it looks
as if soil developed between flows. I wonder how long time takes for
basalt to cool and form those columns.
