I was just wondering whether it really is okay for me to like Pokemon?

Because ive always liked it, and i still do. But when i searched for it on google, i found a load of sites that said that Christians shouldn't like it because it is supposed to be satanic.
I can't understand how it could be satanic, and this really upset me.

So please could someone clear this up for me, because iam feeling really down. Thank you.

I used to think that all card games that are similar to Pokemon are alright. Until a few months ago I met a 15 year old guy who wants to convert to some ancient Japanese Religion because Dragon Ball Z inspired him to do so. He claims that he turned his hair blue theough meditation. I'm not saying that it is evil to do Pokemon or even DBZ, but be careful how far you go with it. Because truth be told they are all based on ancient Japanese religions.

Research? Like what? Some internet site that found a connection between the devil and a cartoon? Give me a break. My kids both had tons of Pokemon cards and played the game all the time. They watched the cartoon too. They grew out of it and never once did their heads spin around.
I could change my name to Lucifer and that wouldn't make me evil.
Pokemon are fictional characters and are incapable of evil or good. They can't hurt you, they can't make you sin, they don't tempt you into sin. People need to quit blaming their weakness and lack of faith on inanimate objects. If you sin, it's because you decided to.

I can't wait for the day when someone enters a church asking to have Pokemon cast out of them.

We are talking about man-made "art" here. Man can not create evil, he can only succumb to it.

I have done some research, and this is what I know. Various pokemon have been inspired by all sorts of mythological beasts from all sorts of mythologies, there is a Kitsune, a Cerberus, a couple of Dinosaurs, at least one Leviathon, and I'm pretty sure I saw a Quetzal bird once. These things, while they may at one time had a meaning of some sort, are now nothing more than a marketing ploy. PokeMon is no more evil than, say, 'buy 1 get 1 free'.
