Confession has always been part of Christian History.

True. "If we confess our sins HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins AND to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". 1 John 1:9

"these things I write to you - that you sin not but if anyone sins we HAVE an Advocate with the Father - JESUS Christ the righteous" 1 John 2:1

" 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,"1 Tim 2:5

"Our Father who art in heaven... FORGIVE US our debts" Matthew 6

Speaking of Christ Hebrews 8 says "If HE were on Earth - he would not be a priest at all"

Great, I guess you don't pray for others since it is "interciding" and you don't confess your sins with others even tho it's something James says to do.

Hi, everyone. I’m scared that my confession was invalid. So the last time I went to confession, I confessed things I needed to confess. But, I’m worried about a particular sin I confessed, I’m not going to say what I did. But, I kinda said the sin in a mumbled way. I never meant to have him not hear me I don’t know if he heard me but he was looking straight at me after I confessed it he just asked me about the last sin I confessed before the one I was currently saying. Do you think he heard me? It was very quiet in the confession and he asked me to whisper becuase I was talking loudly at first. What happens if he didn’t hear me? Do you think it was valid if he didn’t but had the intention to have him hear me?

I think that if I had any doubt, I'd confess it again. Personally, I think that your intention is what matters.

I am happy to pray for anyone - there are plenty of texts telling church members to pray for others. But that does not make them "the mediator between God and man"

And it does not give them a license to tell whomever they pray for -- to ignore the Lord's Prayer, the "Our Father" and go to the one who is praying for you -- "instead".

I think that Christians in all denominations would agree with this and that includes the Catholic Church.

I agree with some stuff and disagree with others. We can discuss it in General Theology tho.
