It's not a sin to play Minecraft, but if you are putting Minecraft first before God, then that would be a sin. For example, if you're playing Minecraft nearly every day, but only spending time with God once a week at church, then there might be a problem. However, in and of itself, it's not a sin to do things we enjoy doing.

Well, it depends on what you do and how you look at it on Minecraft. Some functions require enchantments, villagers don't have genders and can reproduce with each other like any other spawned mob if you make them, if you create a portal you can enter the underworld that resembles fantasy hell, some of the mobs are strange, and probably some other things.

I don't know where your conscience is on some of these things, but regardless I avoid whatever bothers me, since it isn't required for me to perform these actions for me to play and enjoy the game. I play it here and there and try to avoid the things I mentioned above.
