If he gives you the answer, you will ultimately dismiss it as his opinion. If you look it up and educate yourself then to disagree you have to reject your own informed understanding. With the latter, you may actually come away with a better understanding which is much more unlikely with the former.

does not matter what definition the Greek language defines sin as being, as it will just be a list of words ... this was not the issue at hand .... the issue was are we all born sinners ... as in are we all born unrighteous or are we all born missing the mark or are we all born law breakers etc etc etc and seeing Jesus was made flesh and blood no different from the rest of us then if one believes we are born sinners then so was Jesus born a sinner, which we know is not true as he did not sin whilst he walked this earth ....

again, if you look it up in the Greek you will see how the position of Christ being born as we are in every way, and Him being born without sin can be held together.

i am not disputing that Jesus was born without sin ... so unless you can provide a verse or any other scriptural evidence that the rest of us are born sinners your theology has no substance ...

if you knew what sin meant in Greek, you would have your answer.

i know what sin is in the full narrative of the scriptures ... and if you knew what sin is then you would know we are incapable of sin whilst in the womb and for some time after birth ...

if you actually knew what sin meant in the Greek, the language that the NT was written in, you’d know you’re not looking at sin in the right way

Sorry to butt in. I was wondering if hamartia the Greek word for sin? Is Stong’s Concordance ok for Orthodox to use for reference or is there something preferable? Thank you Father.
