Is it true that once you are saved you will go to hevean no matter what?
Because this guy gave a speech that once you are saved you will go to hevean no matter what. now me and my friends, Susie and her sister Audrey, were saying that you can be saved for a while then get mixed up with the wrong crowd and that you will still go to hevean. ok this guy...i sware was so confusing that it made no sence what so ever, but back to my question....Is it true that once you are saved you will go to hevean no matter what? Is it...My friends and i don't agree at all. :o what is this guy saying :o

Well, the most basic answer is that no one on these boards is God, so we have no authority to make statements about who goes to heaven and who does not. But, just for kicks, here's my take on the question. If you believe in Jesus Christ as God's son, believe in the resurrection, and knowing such things, ask Jesus for forgiveness and guidence in your life from that day forward, you will go to heaven. Now if someone tells you at the age of 10, they were "saved", and then at 25 they decide they want to become budist and live this ideology until their death at a ripe age of 90, I believe they are not going to heaven. However, I believe that they are not going to heaven, not because they have lost their faith, but because their actions are evidence they never really believed and excepted Jesus. So I suppose my stance would be if you truly were saved you will go to heaven, because you cannot reject God, since God has become a part of your soul.

Lots of people have strong opinions. They don't all agree.

I would question the assumption that "are saved" is just some kind of one-time event, rather than an ongoing process.

I figure, if you're in Heaven, you're saved. If you're not, you might be on your way, but you're not there yet.

If you're saved, then you go to Heaven but if someone is living a deliberate, willful lifestyle of disobedience, then are they saved in the first place?

Jesus said that we'll be able to tell who is following Him by the fruit that they bear. If they're not bearing good fruit, then what does that say about them?

as others have said, and i guess you now know.
you arent going to find a clear answer here, only lots of people who dont agree on this much argued subject.

i clearly say that no that is not true. i dont think ill ever believe that.

the bible makes it abundantly clear that it is possible to escape corruption through Christ, but then go back and become entangled in sin and corruption again, and have an end even worse than what you started with.
2 pet ch 2.

the bible says that if you go back to sin again, then there remains no sacrifice for sins, and that you have counted that blood that YOU WERE SAVED BY an unholy thing, walking over it. hebrews 10.15-20

people always like to say "well they werent saved in the first place then"
when these people know they sin everyday of their lives themselves, so how can they say such things?
what? they only wish and hope their sins arent as bad?

the bible says that if we are saved we can walk in the spirit and wont fullfill the lust of the flesh. why is this even told to christians if its not possible to sin anyway if your really saved?
the bible says that we are not to give an occasion to our flesh.
that means, that even the most saved of people have to take heed and watch themselves, so they dont let their flesh rise up.
and the bible says our flesh will not obey God and his law.
so how is it we christians cant go back to sin, once we are truely saved?
John wrote to the church and said that he hoped they wouldnt sin, but apparantly they could. 1 john 2.1
so if its possible for Christians to go back to sin, why cant we do things that are not to God that are proof of our fruit of evil?

i beleive the entire book of galations proves you can lose your salvation.
it clearly speaks of a people who had begun to run well and who were genuinely saved by the gospel, but later, in chapter 5 it says these people had "fallen from grace" and came to a place where Christ prophited them nothing at all.
some people say it never actually happened to them, but that is foolishness and Paul was still saying it for reason, to saved people.

Jesus said in john 15 i think, that he finds limbs that dont bear fruit that are IN HIM, that ARE in the vine, and REMOVES THEM.

i think it is abundantly clear that you CAN lose your salvation.

people say that nothing can seperate us from the love of God, and thats true, but it doesnt mean your saved or ever were saved.
people say nothing can pull you from his hand, and thats true, but running from God is always voluntary and it isnt like your being pulled away from him, but rather jumping out, and God letting go.

the bible says in jude that there are people who have been spiritually dead 2 diffrent times, while still alive on the earth so they can eat at church feasts.
how can this mean anything but a person losing their salvation?
you start out dead, but become alive in Christ, and how could you possible be dead twice while still on the earth if you cant lose your salvation and go back to that death?

Once you are saved and have asked Jesus Christ to come in your life and save you then yes you are going to heaven no matter what. But say that you became a devil worshiper after that or somthin, then noo i dont believe God would still allow you to go to heaven. Its mainly the same thing Hampster head said.

Actually, that's false. You can turn away from the Lord and not go into heaven. You can't expect to live wicked and make it into heaven. You don't have to do something extreame not to make it into heaven. You can simply turn from the Lord and do many "little" sins and still not make it. Plus, if you aren't fully serving the Lord, but carnal, unless you repent, you can't go to heaven. Also, why would the Bible tell you to live holy? You need to that so you can stay right with God. The Bible says, ..."Be ye holy: for I am holy." (Hebrews 12:14, 1 Peter 1:16) Why? So you can go to heaven and keep your salvation. You can loose it, but not necessarily by a "big" sin.

I think that to keep your salvation, you must stay with the Lord's will for your life. You can lose your salvation. The Lord says, "Remain in Me, and I will remain in you."
It's scary... I know. Oh, I would love to believe that the OSAS concept were a true one. The idea of falling from the faith and going to Hell scares me so much. But unless I learn to truly LOVE the Lord and delight in Him, I won't lose my fear of Hell and start looking forward to Heaven. You know?
