we are unable to stop the person. They are spreading something private all over the internet. The police cant trace it to him and legally charge him, he is very tech savvy.

Revenge? No. There is an old saying that revenge is sweet; and that is why God reserves it to Himself.

Now Justice is not the same as revenge, and that can, and in most cases SHOULD, be pursued. If someone has done a violent crime, they should face the charges on that. Even if it only serves to keep them from harming someone else.

Retributive views of justice are often simply sacralized vengence.

They didn't just "get away with it". God knows.

Revenge hurts someone. It isn't about justice. A Christian is required to love his enemies. That is why being a Christian isn't ever the easy way out. Give it to God. God is big enough to handle it. Even if you never know that God handled it.

But in your case, you need to find someone who is expert enough in social media to stop this person.

What would your revenge entail? Spreading more private dirt on him? I’m sure that you can see how circular the bad behaviour would become. Instead of rising above the problem, the problem has gained a new member threatening to become worse than the original participant. How has God gained in this? He hasn’t! Look at it from God’s perspective and I’m sure you’ll find much to discuss with Him. Trust is the issue. Please realize that God’s plan is that something will grow from all that your going thru and that something will be you. Revenge would be like taking lessons from the devil.
