  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Is it ok?

If you're closely blood related, then I wouldn't go for it. If you're only slightly blood related, then it really doesn't matter. Many of us are related (some would say all of us are, if we're all descended from Adam and Eve), but it's not close enough to matter. I mean, I'm technically blood related to a guy I went to high school with, but it's like our great-grandmothers were cousins, which is far enough apart that it wouldn't have been a no-no if we'd gotten together.

okay, now if I understand the question right, you're talking about a third cousin, right?

I heard somewhere a while ago that in Canada the only cousins you can legally marry would be your third cousin and down from there(fourth, etc..)

this is only hearsay though, I can't be certain of what the laws really are.
It is legal to marry your first cousin in Canada.
