My point is the person that said an atheist is one who denys the existence of God was incorrect

An atheist IS a person who denies the existence of God. No atheist would say I believe there is a God but I don't believe in Him. A person who has never heard of God is neither an atheist nor an agnostic.

You are right there BUT. An atheist would say (and many have here on cf) they don't believe in God but don't Know that he doesn't exist. See the difference there? Believe and know

Quil is equivocating. Not all atheists deny God's existence outright, only the "strong" ones. "Weak" ones limit their non-statement of non-faith to something along the lines of not believing God exists, but not being able to say more than that. Weak is an apt descriptor for this. I'm not sure why agnostic doesn't apply, but the labels have multiplied; ignostic, agnostic atheist, etc etc etc.

This is not quite correct. An atheist is anyone who lacks a belief in gods. Therefore someone who has never heard of a god would be an atheist.

I find it funny that this started by someone saying kill the atheists. Nobody says are you nuts?!? The arguement is weather babies should be included with atheists to be killed

Well Jesus was all about death and destruction you know. Or was that Rambo?

Not true because they would never have given any thought to God. Read my previous definitions.

If you are an atheist why are you on a Christian website?

Excuse me sir. Are you saying he shouldn't be here? I am here to learn and to question others. An atheist on a christian board could see the reason he is looking for so he could believe.

Don't jump to erroneous conclusions. I am asking his motive. So let him respond.

I´ll never understand why that is even a question.
If atheists weren´t supposed to be on Christian websites - why did CF create forums for the interaction of Christians and non-Christians?

It's a rather long story. Short version is that when I was looking into intelligent design to see if there was any substance behind it I followed some links to this board. Atheists were welcomed and encouraged to discuss here. Over the years I wandered from Crevo into the now defunct apologetics section, then E&M, philosophy, and politics. I enjoyed the lively debates and like seeing viewpoints that challenge my own. Back when I joined the board was much more diverse and there were a lot of well reasoned arguments on both sides. Now days the rules are a lot more restrictive but I still enjoy talking with many of the posters here.

It is OK to kill people in the situation of political conflict.

Because this is something necessary for the defense of an entire nation or people and it is for the greater good.

It is also OK to kill in self-defense if the intention was not to kill the man but it happens during a struggle.

Other than this, it is not OK to kill people.

It is never okay to kill. Never.

The experience of being alive is the culmination of biological, chemical, and perhaps divine phenomenon. It should be a crime against existence to ever deny a body in time the experience of life.

We justify the killing of others as a shearing of society of the parts unnecessary and detrimental. Or we bring up the noble ideals of removing the bad parts to improve or protect the collective, which is just lazy. Prevention, not readiness for the effects of evil or what have you, should be the standard.

It is the sin itself that must die, not the person whom is accursed in it.

It is also OK to kill when you are an executioner, carrying out a sentence.

I don't know why this thread has gone on so long. No Christian thinks killing is "OK" even when it is justified such as in war or in self defense. One day there will be no more war or killing of any kind. But until the Lord returns there will be killings. So lets just live with it and do what we can to minimize it.
