When I said don't "Think", I meant don't travel down the same road of process that procures lurid fantasies and all the human emotions of the flesh that Satan has the opportunity to use against us in our greatest time of need. We are Spirits have a human experience not the other way around. A spiritual request, and a spiritual pursuit do not bear carnal fruit. I'm not saying don't cultivate your mind, but do it in the garden of rightousness, so that your mind and spirit feed off of one another and are not so easily subject to the lingering of Satan. What's sad about most of you is that you ACTUALLY believe what you are saying. 12 years, I've been one for 20....even the prophet of our church is still learning. Time does not dictate your understanding of the principles of the Restored Gospel. I just pray that you haven't been to the temple, because if you have, then in your present state you have turned your back on the holyest of covenants. How sad.
Hi! My temple name was Naomi. I resigned from the mormon church a year ago. The reason was simply that I could no longer accept or follow a polytheistic religion and God showed me clearly I was following a false Christ. I pray that the Lord will open your eyes.

No kidding...if the "missionaries" told the "meat" of the LDS teachings right from the get go, well, they sure wouldn't convert many.

Grace
Amen to that! By the time I started learning the "meat" I was too far in to back away *living in Mormonville was a bad time to leave the church....*

I am not sure if that was just a poor attempt at humor or if you truly believe such nonsense. Either way, leaving the mormon faith and throwing yourself at the feet of Jesus and His mercy is the most liberating thing you can do. BTW, my temple name was Barnabas and my wifes was Evelyn.

Did you make your poor wife leave the true Church via your rhetoric as well?

Now I see we have just slipped into non-sense land. I will choose to ignore this poor attempt.
Nonsense land.

Have you read through your last few posts?

What is the point of sharing your temple name? It has nothing to do with anything we're talking about.

Nonsense!

Their trying to show how tough they are. Trying to throw it our faces because they know it is what we hold sacred. They left the Mormon Church, the great mind bending cult, horray they found Jesus......yeah right. Those of you who just did, what you did, sold your sacred ordinances for not even money, but justification of pride and mockery. That I will not tolerate, if I could wash my feet of you I would. I love all of you as brothers and sisters and I am saddened by your rhetoric, but noone should ever do what you just did. How can you live with yourselves? And don't say by the free grace of god, or I found Jesus. Your version of Christianity is LIPSERVICE. Don't have to do anything but say you love him, and when he comes back to reign, what, you think that is what your purpose of life is? You poor fools, if you only knew the blessings you could have had, the mansions in store for you. If your Heavenly Father knocked on your door you wouldn't even know his face.

Keep working. It'll be a shame if you don't get what you deserve.

Oh, give it a rest. I chose to leave the church of joseph smith of hopeful saints incorporated and for this you choose to give me this drama queen diatribe? Dont bother. You wanna wash your feet of me? Heres an idea. Get out. This is a Christian site after all. Marrow in your bones and health in your navel my friend. You hold your underwear and your handshakes as being sacred and I hold Jesus as such. Go figure.

Pay Lay Ale

The point is that the whole thing is silly. The whole new name that every single person in the world on that day gets along with you. The funny marks in the underroos. The masonic handshakes. The robes. The funky hat. All of it. It is nothing more then rabbits foots designed to take minds off the real issue and that is Jesus and Jesus alone. None of it will get you any where near the Lord yet millions are spending all that time trying to work their way on up. It is the devils wiles and souls are being lost because of it.

LOL! When you go through, they tell you to always remember the name and to NEVER REVEAL IT TO ANYONE (insert spooky music) so to make sure I would always do so (like you could forget) I chose to relate it to 'barney on a bus'. Woo hoo. Big purple dinosaurs in garments. gotta love that.

Elderbell,

You might want to rethink calling us all fools. I think that this is something that Jesus frowned upon.
Matthew 5

22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

God has knocked on my door, and I opened it!!! I may not know his face, but I am certain that I know his voice.

Edit: I believe that this post has been grouped with posts labeled "abusive." Perhaps I should clarify that what I said applies to all who say "you fool." If it caused offense, I am sorry, but it is something that we all should consider.

Well it's been said Barney is evil, so I suppose he could be Mormon....

Could we please get this thread under control?

The name calling, demeaning portrayal of other's faith, or otherwise direct / indirect insults need to stop.

Who is a professing Christian here?

Can we act like it.

Tom
Are you going to stick around and continue your proselytizing?
