Is it abuse or was I selfish. Christian marriage advice /opinion needed

I just wanted to thank everybody on this forum for their prayers and advice.

I can't explain but there seems to be a shift in my thinking and I seem to be remembering details that I have forgotten from years before. Example I totally forgot that somebody had called them an angry man years ago.

I also realise that he is wrong calling me names, no matter what I broke or did or didn't do.


But the most amazing thing, this afternoon the Lord show me that He does not disapprove of me.

Dear one, that's a great sign you are starting to pick up parts of your being back together, because I believe you got broken, more than once. I also believe you can be whole once again.
But, please be wise and ask for help from people too, especially ones who dealt with similar situations, as I mentioned above.

I have no male relatives that could talk to him.

I asked to go to counselling but he refused.

He would not look too kindly at me going to counselling either.

call a domestic violence center . some offer free counselling . They deal with all partner abuse not just violence

You need to control your own money . Do not let him continue to control YOUR money . He’s abusive ! You can start a no frills bank account at a savings bank . If your job offers direct deposit, do that .
