Is it a sin to admire and longingly look at and check out (for a man) a woman's beauty if...

I commit every day to taking care of my health and my body, and that is even after having a kid. It isn't easy, so if you can appreciate that, then fine.
However, don't get mad if I am having a good butt day and my fashion choices accentuate that. I have the right to do so, much like you have the right to spend years working out and eating healthy to show off your shirtless self in the summer.

I agree with @TheRealAriel in that, if a woman wants to feel comfortable in her own skin, it shouldn't be such a big deal just because hormonally flustered men can't handle their brains.

Its your heart thats at issue not your actions. You can have the heart of a covetous adulterer even if you don't act on it (straight away) and God can see that.

Women can generally tell if someone is mentally undressing them or violating their honor.

You are easily one of my favorite people

Well thank you.

You see that kids? "Experts" don't know everything. Here I was told all my life by teachers all the way up to college and even a few psychiatrists. "Nobody likes a sarcastic smart donkey"

We have been instructed not to lust after one another. Admiring beauty and lust are different. I believe we know the difference and it is an individual responsibility to mature in Christ and constantly refine our selves. Through prayer and discipline and understanding of Christ like love I feel as though you can choose to look at a beautiful woman in admiration and thanksgiving for she is a royal daughter of the King and find longing in the heart for and the desire to view woman as a sister in Christ with a pure heart. The attraction then becomes one of humble righteousness rather than an attraction of the flesh. It's a matter of the knowledge of Christ like love and fine tuned discipline. Choice.

This guy gets it. Lol

I hate being stared at even if it is at the beach. Please don't.

Funny how I do.

It's just how I feel. To be stared at by a stranger I feel like it's an invasion of my personal space by someone who is uninvited.

It's almost like I could read their thoughts and it's not a pleasant feeling.

There were a lot of beautiful women in the Bible. I don't think it is a sin to admire beauty either, but recognize it for what it's worth, and that it is simply a pleasant physical appearance(nothing more), that is why Scripture warns of not desiring the beauty of un-virtuous women. Do not let yourself fall in love with someone simply because they are physically pleasant to look at. That is only Eros love, which is an important aspect, but only one aspect.

If my cousin came up to me, kissed me, then started randomly bawling, and then after running to tell my father, he invited him over for dinner - I would really start questioning my life.

How customs have changed.

:swoon::swoon::swoon:

Cousins are different than strangers. Cousins are never creepy. Uncles on the other hand can be super creepy~

Honestly that's a big part of why I do dress a little more skimpily than most, I think we really should be past the female body being taboo. If everyone just wore whatever they wanted like a guy does just because they want to, overtime it's desexualized.

I agree.

When I lived and worked in the Middle East, I was able to observe the effect burqa has on men.

Honestly, it doesn't help at all, in addition to the strict conduct between a man and a woman under Sharia Law. It actually leads to sexual depravity.

Almost 50% of men and women I observed are bisexual....Strange when homosexuality would lead to a prison sentence under Sharia law and their sexual urges are unnatural!

So I was creeped out almost everyday, harassed in the streets or the restaurant by boys as young as ten! This is how I know what women feels.

Nothing works as a fact in my presumably accurate observation. Imposing a national dress code on women won't work! Men just have to exercise control over their urges!

I like women. I like a good pair of pins. I like graceful curves. I like long wild hair that's tossed to one side. I like chocolate button eyes and plump lips. I like round cheeks with cute dimples. I like long floral summer dresses and a smile that can be seen in the dark.

Basically, the day I stop looking, is the day that I may as well give up on life. If you're made to feel guilty just by looking at a member of the opposite sex, then what's the point? That's not a world I wish to live in.

There are things that are a lot worse than not having to look at a woman.

One of them is probably being a woman and getting stared at by a group of young men you don't even know and whispering to each other. All you want to do is run out of sight.

Yep, I definitely know how that feels.

The bible even mentions it on numerous occasions. It must be for something other than to cause men to have to turn their eyes away in order to avoid sinning. Otherwise, it would be mentioned as a bad thing. Here's one example:

Genesis 29:17--"There was no sparkle in Leah's eyes, but Rachel had a beautiful figure and a lovely face."

I think if a guy kept staring at me I'd probably turn angry and punch him in the face. Sorry. But I am into punishing people for doing wrong things.

That guy is obviously attracted to you and might even become your future husband! If you respond to people who stare at you by punching them in the face, you'll remain single for the rest of your life.

She possibly might not be interested in being in a relationship with a man.
