I believe in doppelgangers because I have had experiences of them. Undeniable proof to me that they are real. I don't expect others to believe in them, nor will I try to hammer home to others that I know they exist.

I have yet to expeience God. so as yet I do not believe, but that doesn't mean he isn't there. He may be there for other individuals who have experienced his presence.

does that rambling nonsense make any sense?

I suppose the question is...

Is god for everyone?

Because I have had a nuber of, lets call them spiritual experiences, but none relating directly to god. demons, doppelgangers, spirits, but no calling from god, so must I believe in him?
"Because we are all made in the image of God, every man, woman and child knows something of God that nobody else knows" (the late, great, Cardinal Basil Hume).

We are made to be the image of God in and for creation, and we need to be that for the good of creation and ourselves; its not an optional extra. If we aren't looking to God to reflect him out into the world we suffer and the rest of creation suffers.

Whether or not one believes in dopplegangers doesn't have a big impact on the rest of creation; whether or not one recognises the one true and living God does.

God isn't something some people say is or isn't for me.

God is someone!

The question isn't is God for me? It is, are you for God?

Luke 11:23
"He who is not with me is against me

God is calling you! He calls all men to repent of their sins, (sin is disobedience towards God) for lying, stealing, dishonouring our parents, murder etc etc.

Romans 3:23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Have you ever sinned?

James 4:17
Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins.

Have you ever done something you knew was wrong?

We are all sinners, but God sent his son (Jesus) into this world to take your punishment and mine on the cross.

The innocent, sinless Jesus died for the guilty (me and you).

Because he has paid out debt (sin) we can have our debts pardoned on account of what he has done. All we need to do is believe in what Jesus has done for us and repent of our sins, repentance isn't just saying your sorry, it's trying to live a different life to the one you currently live whereby you seek to never sin again.

John 3:16-18
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

So you are left with a choice, believe in Jesus, or be condemned for your sins.

Why reject the love of God?

And whether you believe in him or not, it doesn't change the fact that he exists and will one day judge men, you could die tomorrow for all you know. But by then it will be too late to put your trust in Jesus.
