The government may require face masks and vaccinations. The anti-vaccination people can not prove vaccinations do more harm than good. Mercury has been removed from vaccines, but not mercury-silver dental fillings. Mercury is more toxic than lead.

Vaccines may improve the economy and increase prosperity.

The marka the beast will be some sorta implanted microchip. A tat can be easily-duplicated or altered. However, such tats may be part of the conditioning for people to be ready to accept the marka the beast.

The mark is not literal. It's a form of patriotism to a wicked church/state as the Reformers depicted in their day.

I see no reason to not believe in a literal mark. The language is rather specific and it's one of the clearer passages in the whole book. Now who knows how it will happen but it honestly makes total sense to be literal as Satan/the anti-christ will be in all out war against the Christians. Why not make them very easy to recognize by branding his own? It also makes his own nice trophies.

I received the polio vaccine when it was first out, from Dr. Salk himself, in 1955. (Felt like he used a dull nail for a needle!) So far, at age 72, no tumors !

Say carnal man because a physical mark sounds more exciting that anyone can make a speculations. So no... The mark will be spiritual if you have spiritual ears to hear.

Yeah true. It could easily be a microchip of some kind but it may not be. A book series I like had implanted microchips for ID and money and such...and then later a totally separate Mark of the Beast came along in the form of a ritual and a tattoo.

These medical tatoos or inserting chips to track vaccines may be a precursor to the mark but it's current adaption is not the mark itself as getting a vaccine and then getting "marked" to track the vaccine is nothing counter-christ. But as the tech develops I'm sure it could play a very strong role in end times stuff.

Currently I can't travel on a plane until I get a rapid test and that's no problem and I'll take the test. well that could some day turn into I can't travel until I have a medical chip in me so people know I'm safe to travel and airport scan these devices to get feedback and know if your healthy. But even that is not the mark and it needs to be conflated with a counter-Christ submission with it.

If getting these things means you deny Christ than Christians aren't going to get them (obviously) but this also potentially cripples cross cultural work efforts and Christian workers can no longer return to their home countries to visit or raise support so missionaries could potentially be left on their own and unfunded which will really separate those who are serious and those who will turn away.

It also exposes a problem that christian cross cultural work is heavily dependant upon outside funding which is going to be a failed model someday if these things take effect (arguably it already is a failed model). Local sustainable living with christian cross cultural workers needs to start taking stronger focus. This is somewhat implied in Scripture but Paul made tents and sold them to fund his living, the church supported him too but the local church not the foreign church and so modern day examples need to take root in their local places and less depend upon outside suppport so that when it all crashes the work can continue.

It is already here if you have spiritual eyes to see. It is not a physical mark or something that might show up over there. Look among yourself in the congregations of God.

While we usually agree, this time, I must disagree. The mark will be in the right hand or forehead, & no one will be able to buy or sell without it. (In legal businesses, that is. Trib saints will hafta rely on a black market.)

A couple of years ago, a company offered its employees microchips implanted into the backs of their hands to enable them to open locked doors in their bldg. that otherwise required a card, & none of them accepted, citing 'mark of the beast'. I believe the rapture will occur before the mark is made compulsory, so there will be very little opposition to it.

The 'beast' will hype it as being the ideal replacement for cash or cards, as it can't be lost or stolen. And employers will pay their employees by adding their pay to the chips' records. But he will have his security forces hunting down black marketeers & their customers, killing them when found. Thus, many trib saints will be martyred. (Some will be killed by the plagues of the trib, as well.)

That's why I believe it'll be a physical mark.
