Is Everything That Happens God’s Will?

I am born deaf, diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, one of my daughters have cerebral palsy and mentally challenged. We called them blessings rather than curse because we learned humility through those trials. I will avoid Christians who will not see our reality and called our sickness cursed.

Joe Morello is a famous jazz drummer who's classic "Take Five" (Dave Brubeck) is world renown.

Yet, he began as a classic musician (violin). He then studied classical drumming. His sight began to fail. He could no longer read charts. So, he became a jazz drummer instead, and seasoned us all with his beautiful melodic way of playing. Yes, Joe Morello is a professing Christian. Today he is legally blind. If he was not inflicted he would most likely be an unknown and we would have never been blessed to hear his playing publically as he now does it.

God can use our infirmaries for a blessing.....

" Jesus replied, "Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given. For some are eunuchs because they were born that way; others were made that way by men; and others have renounced marriage because of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it."

Certain teachings are not meant to be universally applied. Yet, we are not to deny that certain things happen to some, that those who think we are to have perfect health, is not the way God says its to be for some. Some just hear "Healing in the Atonement" and become "Tone deaf." These are the ones who truly can not hear! And, their are those who can not hear, but do hear perfectly the thinking of God through his word.

John 9:39 niv
"Jesus said, "For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind."

We have many Bible printed in Braille. Those who are filled with the Spirit will see. Yet, those not blind who walk after their flesh, though they think they see, are blind.

That is the most often mis-interpreted verses by the Word of Faith teachers. The verse is really saying that we are healed spiritually and that our sins our no longer seperating us from God. Through Christ's death and our acceptance to follow Christ healed that seperation.

This verse was tranlated way before the "WOF" teachers (as you claim) were even born. Only someone totally ignorant of the original Hebrew would say that "griefs" and "sorrows" shouldn't be translated "sicknesses" and "pains".


Surely he has borne our sickness, and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted. (WEB)

But it was our pain he took, and our diseases were put on him: while to us he seemed as one diseased, on whom God's punishment had come. (BBE)
Surely our diseases he did bear, and our pains he carried; whereas we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. (JPS)

But the fact is, it was our pains he carried-- our disfigurements, all the things wrong with us. (MSG)

Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. (AMP)

I guess this was just a joke. Or maybe God didn't mean to place sickness and disease on Jesus. Must have been an accident. I guess it's just a coincidence that the very next verse is clearly discussing the Atonement of our Lord for the sins of mankind.

Look around you. How many Christians you see are suffering that you are ignoring? If you can't see the facts, then you are truly blinded by false teachings.

No, because I believe God's Word and allow Jesus' finished work to be a reality in my life. I don't blaspheme the name and work of Jesus by claiming that God is the one using a curse to develop faith and patience in my life.

If God made problems in my life occur, and beleive me they were no picnics; then shall I blame him for them ~ of course not ~ now That I follow him in obedience; say something happens bad; shall I blame him for it ~ of course not ~ so how then can I blame him for anything?

This is a blaming God does this or that ~ sorry ~ I believe he is merciful and patient ~ 1 day is like a thousand I heard one say in here before ~

Things happen; but rather we should come together when things do and pray; example 9/11 ~ people then seem to forget after the love and prayers to him ~ he did not do that ~ man did this

very true - crying our pains to God - heals us in some way - I had first hand experience in this - he did comfort me
