Just to let you know...the Eastern Orthodox are strictly and adamantly against ecumenicism.

What? Why are you posting here? This is like asking on a vegan site if vegetarianism is good.
I think this is a perfectly good question and I've seen a lot of people actually struggle with it. In large organizations, or community functions where there is an "ecumenical" Christian invocation, benediction or prayer service offered. A lot of people participate and enjoy, others refuse to participate and you get the handful who are questioning whether or not it is right to participate so again, perfectly valid question.
But, if you are against ecumenicalism, why would you participate in an ecumenical website like CF?
what are you basing that on?
Probably for the same reason that the Athiests participate?
Also, some people come onto CF and stay in their specific denominational forums.
