I know atheistic cultures or government can be dictatorships like in the Soviet Union or China is you can call them that. There are such places as called Theocracy, which are mostly Islam countries but they aren't real democracy since they are mostly run by Muslims. So is it only possible for countries that have secular origins or Christian ones to be Democracy?

The nation of Israel was never a democracy. It was ruled by a succession of leaders starting with Moses, then with the Judges, and then, at the people's insistence, Kings. Democracy came about because of humanistic influence where the individual person became important and was given the right to vote in their leaders. The Early Church was ruled by elders and deacons, the ordinary members never voted them. They were appointed through apostles seeking the will of God about who should be ordained as elders and deacons. The people trusted the judgment of the apostles and the bishops (Timothy was the first).

So democracy is secular, rather than Christian.

Democracy started in Athens were cityzens of a set class were entitled to vote for leaders and on cetain major issues.
Democracy as we know it is a very reacent developement. Women only getting the vote around the second world war.

For democracy to work society has to accept certain key ideas.
The right of the individual, the rule of law equally applied to all, universal honesty.

These are all Christian virtues that really make a civilisation great.
But to benefit from them Christianity has to bebelieved.
