When atheism is on the rise, and theistic religions in decline in western countries, what do you THINK is going to happen in the trends surrounding creationism, as a matter of course?

It's simple common sense really. It's not rocket science.

It's not strictly an issue with atheism vs theism though. That's why you have to look at the demographics and other factors (particularly education) that influence beliefs in creationism.

Not necessarily; Creationism could be on the rise amongst Christians still, even though the number of Christians overall is shrinking. There are around two billion Christians worldwide and only a hundred million or so creationists. Creationism still has lots of room to grow.

What you desire is to narrow the scope of your question, which you did not do in your OP.

You want to know what the lost or added creationists are becoming, whether they are becoming atheists or believers in the wider group of intelligent design proponents.

For those answers you have to narrow the scope of your question, not just ask if they are increasing or decreasing in numbers.. Because according to you, the trends are following trends in established religion.

LIkewise, just like historically (if and wherever),
if there is any country, or city, or community
where people are seeking the truth,
creationism is on the rise there, by definition.
Remember for thousands of years, even UNBELIEVERS (Pagans)
knew that God Created all things.
(even if they believed it was some god(s) besides the one true God.)

ONLY in recent history has evil corruption changed that.

Based on demographics, I'm assuming the "lost" creationists are becoming dead. That is what happens to older cohorts; they die off sooner than younger ones.

When you look at the inverse correlation between creationist beliefs and educational attainment/understanding of evolution, plus the demographics challenges creationists have, that is why I consider it unsustainable.

No doubt there will always be pockets of creationist belief, but it's on a downward slide and I don't see any evidence of that trend reversing.

I think you're probably right in respect of creationist beliefs; it's the more general spread of 'alternative facts' that is of concern. I'd like to see more emphasis on critical thinking in schools, and even philosophy-lite, so kids are exposed to a wide range of ideas and ways to think about them.

Yah there is about Europe - and its scaring them... considering Europe is the stronghold of evolution and their propaganda is failing as more and more people learn the facts.....

Scientists warn: creationism is on the rise in Europe

It's because they can actually teach creationism alongside evolution in the schools, and truth wins out over propaganda every time.... it is why they are resisting so hard and spending billions to keep it from being taught alongside evolution in the USA..... They are scared of teaching it side-by-side with creation, they would loose just like they are in Europe.....

In the context of this thread (and the context of most discussions), a creationist is someone who believes that life forms were created fully formed (particularly humans) as opposed to having evolved over time.

A creationist is someone who believes God's Holy Word. A Darwinist is someone who rejects God's Truth in Genesis because he thinks he is smarter than God.

Not smarter than God. Just smarter than to believe in a literal interpretation of Genesis.

Then it should be easy for you to explain these scientific truths in Genesis:

1. Genesis 1:21 shows that every living creature that moveth was made from water the on 5th Day.
2. Genesis 2:4 shows that the big bang was on the 3rd Day Genesis 2:4 and Genesis 1:16 shows that it was the 4th Day before the first Stars lit up. Science agrees and shows that it was 180 Million years, in man's time between the two.
3. Chromosone 2 fusion shows that Humans were first made, long before any other living creature. Genesis 2:4-7
4. Genesis 6:4 shows HOW to make a modern Human by mixing the sons of God (prehistoric people) with Humans (Adam's descendants)
5. Genesis 1:1 correctly shows that Water was not created but came forth from Heaven/air.

People who lived more than 3k years ago could NOT have known these facts since they have only recently been discovered. It's testable evidence of the literal God who authored Genesis. If you cannot explain all of them, one will do.
