You heard it here first folks; BOTH contraception and a really wild day do "a lot of harm."

Hi Ar Cosc!
then why do men [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] seed, biologically?
you could say that but then you would have to say that a couple should have sex every minute of the day, since you say that abstinence is immoral
that might sound good, but would do a lot of harm
Peace of Jesus Christ to You!,
pat
You're making a baseless assertion here. I could say that abstinence is immoral because a fundamental purpose of sex is to form a closer bond between two lovers. ?
Why? In the hypothetical, sex is there to form close bonds between people, but that doesn't mean you have to have it all the time, and you certainly wouldn't be sinning if you chose abstinence.Hi Ar Cosc!,
You could say that but then couples would have to be having sex all the time or they would be sinning.

1. Play all the semantics you want. Both practices try to control reproduction. In that sense you can absolutely lump them together.
Fornication rarely involves the desire to be with one person forever. Apart from that, there really isn't any real difference between extra-martial, pre-marital, and post-marital sex.tthen one could lump fornication together with marital sex since they are both sex, and both involve desire, and can both involve the desire to be with the person forever
what if God messes it up and makes the wrong choice?
Contraception lets you decide when life begins and the truth is that only God should make that decision, not a pill or a patch.
Once again, if God Plan is being restrained by a simple contraceptive then he isn't all powerful.
If God's Plan is never thwarted and always carried out, then everything that has happened and will happened will be according to His Plan. So the couple down the street that just bought a Trojan box? All according to God's Plan.
End thread.
WW2 killed 50 million or so people. Rad plan.GOD does not make the wrong decision ever!! He always has a plan!!

One must admit, given that contraceptive measures still fail no matter what we try to do to make them better...I fail to see how God is supposedly lessened or "challenged" by them. I mean, assuming the all-powerful and ever present busybody God a lot of people seem to suggest, wouldn't he just say "I can do it even with contraception"?
And maybe (in the metaphorical and tongue-in-cheek/skeptical sense) God gave us the option of contraception? You know, an "are you smart enough to actually think first?" kind of thing.
Just a thought I had...
Why should I not make the decision that I do not want to have children?
