  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Sin will separate us from God no matter what it is. The only sin I have found any emphasis on is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. I have noticed that people will put a higher or greater meaning on sins they never do compared to things they sometimes do.

I imagine we will all be surprised what could be held against us if not for Christ's sacrifice.

No not all sins are equal. If all sins were equal then why did God denote the seriousness of the Ten?

Basically we sin daily without realising it much.

And then there are the little white lies, that although are probably deemed sinful to some, really are harmless. Especially if it to presegrve someone's feelings.
Like someone who colored their hair a bad color and you tell them it is ok they look fine.:sorry: :help:

Or maybe get snappy at your kid who just broke a vase.
[lack of patience]
Or over eating til you are stuffed full.
[almost gluttony]

Maybe other little things we do and not even think about. Probably habits we cannot break like swearing when we are angry.

Anger is serious if it leads to killing or doing violence, but cussing is not a serious sin but it is warned against [in cursing anyway]

See, John said there are sins unto death [mortal] and sins not unto death [not mortal]

That we can pray for those without sins unto death, but not those with sins unto death. Marking that there is a difference.

God Bless.

Nice seeing you all.
Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!:ebil:

O goodness it is coming up faster and faster each year, isnt it?

Any sin, including a little white lie, will damn your soul to Hell.

That is why we need Jesus. Jesus never said, "Don't sweat the small stuff." He said, "Repent of sin." Sin at its root is disobedience to God, the ultimate disobedience being refusal of his gift of salvation that He calls us to, unto the point of death.

Sin separates us from God, period. There are no non-mortal or mortal sins. Yes, there are the seven deadly sins that lead more directly to death, and there are sins that God provides a more severe punishment for, but all sin sends you to the same place, much like all toilets eventually lead to the same ground.

Sins are equally sins, but are not equal in their severity or punishment.
