  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I believe that I am still a young person. I would think that a middle aged person would no longer be young, like someone who is 50-60 years old. Am I young or middle aged? I have been so concerned about my age that I have wondered this for years. It doesn't help that a 60 year old would consider me young, yet a 20 year old would consider me old. I have obsessed less about my age because I have embraced it. However, I still have those nagging thoughts that just won't go away.

No. You are only young to people in their 60's and above.

When the show Roseanne first got it's reboot last spring or whenever it was, Becky and Darlene were having a conversation and it involved Becky's age, Becky thinking and acting like she was still 20-something when she is actually in her 40s. Darlene told her "you're an old-young, or a young-old."
