To be under grace means to be a branch now connected to the Vine, as we’re meant to be. Now we can walk in the Spirit, now the obedience and righteousness that the law could not accomplish can be accomplished in us. And that connection, that relationship, is established by faith, both a gift of grace, itself, and a choice, a continuous choice to maintain that relationship, to remain in Him, to pick up our cross and follow Him daily.
Mixing grace and works, not good

Nope. Grace is God’s work, but He won’t hit us over the head with it or force it upon us because He didn’t create man to be a puppet or automaton. He could’ve just done that in Eden if that’s all He wanted for, and from, us. By God's wisdom and will, grace is resistible; we must respond to it even if that response must be aided by grace. Because even then:

"We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God." 2 Cor 5:20

Yes mixing works and grace is a sure sign of false witnessing

No one is justified by works. That doesn't mean that we're prevented from saying "no" to salvation, "no" to God and His work in us. Either way, good fruit is the evidence that we're one of His.

Why do we need to be implored to be reconciled to Him even though reconciliation comes by the sacrifice of Christ?

That imperative isnt for everyone, but its to the new creature Vs 17 who has already been reconciled Vs 18-19, its bringing them to faith, its in the passive voice.
