CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I can honestly say I didn't, but at that point in time I wasn't an active Christian. But I can see what you are saying, I suppose we'll just have to wait and see what unfolds.

Hey there,your assessment leaves out Isreal in its permutations.There is the wild card so to speak as they will not be idle if Iran gets much closer to wmd.The US may be willing to supply the hardware,but they are in a bad spot to actually attack iran.Both politically,and militarily.
Isreal can hardly be expected not to take unilateral action militarily in the near future.If the new air defense package the russians have sold iran is deemed sufficient to foil such an air raid by IDF.
The scenario is a near duplicate of the Iraq raid on Osirak.The major differences in the amount of sites and the political climate aside.The sheer threat to Isreals survival is too great to preclude their sitting on their hands while ANY arab nation arms itself with WMD.(nuclear)Specially a radical one.
The variables are inumerable,but the constant remains,Isreal will do whatever it takes to survive.They have shown that they are willing to be the agressor several times in the past,when they felt that they had no other option.
Consider this as well.....the US and IDF,combined in arms may well be the most potent military force that could be brought to bear on the whole region.......though just how they may end up both engaged at the same time over there is not clear.......
I am sure that they would be very hard for any other combination of countries in the region to match.Support for the Islamic alliance would probably be too late in showing up to make a large difference in the out come of a major engagement.
Think of the months it took for the forces to amass before the gulf 1 gulf 2 and iraqi campaign.Isreal.and the US are there in force now on the ground.Their weapons systems are unparallelled by most radical muslim arms.It would be likely that if security of Isreal is threatened through widening of the war in some unforseen manor,that they would not hesitate to jump into the fray.This all may sound far fetched,but the build up to these situations may not be a long one if any one of hundreds of factors changes drastically.
Iran could very well have a nuclear weapon or two up its sleeve right now.It is apossibility that i have mentioned in several posts,and should not be discounted.......
Iran got much of its nuclear start from a rouge Paki scientist of radical pursuasion.
He had motive and opportunity to supply them as well as the availability of russian nukes that are missing .Irans latest missle Sahib3 sic. i believ is reported to be nuclear capable.
The potential for widening the war is crucial to the situation.When and if we hear more and vehement denounciations of either Iran,Or Syria,i believe we can expect it.
If either situation occurs,it will be a wide open ball game .
There is no doubt in my mind that Isreal will be proactive in dealing with the Iranian nukes as soon as they are positive that the Iranis are proceeding with enrichment,aand they have a reasonable chance of success.(success in this case may even be the setting back of their nuclear program for a certain time period.YRS)

the same for you, trying to measure the world from without, not possible, trying to superimpose places and writings from the past and incorporate them geographically today is not 100% possible.
the symbolism, and figures of speech coupled with the places that have changed names and so on will not be exactly the same.

As for Y2K, the year 2000 was NOT the beginning of the third millenium. In 2001, the lower Euphrates was dry as predicted by many, and the tragic events of 9/11 occured as i predicted and others. IMO, 9/11 marks the beginning of the Battle of that great day of God Almighty (also called the Battle of Ar Mageddon). It has already spread from Afghanistan to Iraq; and it looks like it will soon spread to Iran and ultimately spred to Israel. Another evil capital east of the Euphrates is Pyong Yang.
So it appears that the Great Day of God Almighty is indeed the 3rd millenium AD as was predicted by many dispensationalists.

Its not like we can claim so moral High ground and say we would never use them on civilian populations. I do not need to remind you we are in fact the only country that has used them on civilians and done so twice. We have made it clear we will use them on whoever we feel is a threat to our security at whatever time we feel is appropriate.
Why do they not have the same right. Who are we to dictate what a country may and may not develop to defend themselves.
As I have shown in other posts in this thread it is clear to anyone that has paid attention that if you have nukes we will not invade you if you don't we will do it when ever we feel like it regardless of what theUN and the rest of the world thinks.

There is the point. It is not for defense. It is a offensive weapon. They have lived without it now for so long. They don't need it. Who is the main threat to them that they need a nuke? We won't use a nuke on them. Besides the point of their allies having nukes (Russia and Pak.). It is clear from their commits they don't want it for their own safety.Just The Facts said:

We are the main threat in their eyes. We invaded both countries on either side of them. We invaded Iraq even when they said over and over they had no nukes that they did not even have a program.

If they had no intentions of making a bomb they did not need have any desire to make that particular plant. Second, of course they denied it. Third, do you really think their government has any true concern for their people? Nope. They care about their own desires for power and money. Tell me if it is 100% true then tell me what where the aims and intentions of Iran and USA where as the leaders of the governments, public, and individuals so that the full 100% of the true might be known. Until then how do you claim it is 100% true. You report on but a partial truth to begin with.
