I've read from reliable sources that many experts think Iran is 8-10 years away from actually having a nuclear bomb.
A lot can happen in that time. I wonder if people were equally sure something terrible was going to happen during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Perhaps 40 years from now, only a few historians will know that the Republic of Persia was at one time scaring Americans.

The idea that they may have one or two weapons came to me when i noted th great strides they were making in missle tech nology.
They have more advanced missles than mere convetional weapons would call for i thought.
Not only that but they have steadily improved their all round missle technlogy with a steadfastness that belies the negotiation process on enrichment.Why push so hard to get the delivery system in place if you have nothing to deliver,and are negotiating to cease production of weapons grade uranium permanently?

The propaganda is getting shriller every day,on both sides....Though it may be a little premature,i think we all should be paying attention to any aircraft deployments of the right types,to europe,or turkey,the Caucasus or whatever that may indicate the buildup for an air strike is under way.The Isrealis are mid purchase of the right aircraft for such a strike,and accellerated delivery of them may be a sign....stuff like that you find here and there is important info from here on out till they resolve the impasse which they will one way or another as stataed by both the US,France,Isreal and Iran.A nuclear first strike is not a small possibility in the end that they really do have to go for it.

Oh, I agree, the possibilities are very interesting. I don't pretend to know more than the intelligence agencies whose job it is to track these things. Althought I don't believe we are on the brink of war with Iran, I could certainly be wrong.

I dont think it a presumption to suppose that either side will grab onto and work to death,any advantage they percieve they may ahve.as well as exploit every opportunity to bloody the other guys nose.
The one difference between them and US is that they believe they are fighting and dying for their families their countrys and their religion.We on the other hand are only doing it for the oil,the money.And domination of the world in the comming oil poor years.
