Introvert or Extrovert?

I'm an introvert but also tend to be shy. My fight isn't against being an introvert but being shy. Once I get to know someone or become comfortable then the shyness goes out the door.

I often feel like the most introverted extrovert.

But I guess it depends on what is meant by introverted and extroverted, and in what sense.

There is something called the "socially accessible introvert", a term used by
Laurie A. Helgoe, author of a book I read awhile back titled,
"Introvert Power: Why Your Inner Life Is Your Hidden Strength ":

“The Socially Accessible introvert looks like an extrovert on the outside and
sees extroversion as a bar that he or she can never quite reach. These
individuals are often very successful in social arenas, but fault themselves for
not having more fun.”

Maybe they are acting? The whole terms introverted and extroverted are pyshcologists way of explaining something they cant see.

I dont know, is the holy spirit on the inside or the outside? I would think most of us here would have Him dwell within us and wear His mantle accordingly. Dont hide your light under a bushel.

Ive heard some people say we are like Jesus with skin on.

Which is a bit weird. But...i think introverted ppl have naturally thinner skin than extroverted ppl. That is why we need to put on the whole armour of God.

HAHA! this made me lol. I am an introvert. Its cool to know a lot of people here are introverted as well. I also tend to get extroverted at times, but it is very very rare, and more so like an impulse.

Being shy is such an uncomfortable feeling. It sometimes make me a little awkward but only at first. Do you have that problem too?

I'm an INFJ so Introvert (have taken the test twice) but apparently i'm 49% extrovert, 51% introvert which is a strange combination. Sometimes quite outgoing sometimes not.

the original point was to find out if one was more extro or more intro. from there, one was to work to create a balance in the other direction. so, 50-50 is the goal.

I have been reading these personality type threads and it seems like 80-90% of the posters on here are introverted... so I thought I'd do a poll and find out just how much of a minority I am.

Whenever I take an MBTI test, I score 90-100% in I.

Im an introvert, but when I am around close friends or people that I know very well, I can be extroverted.
By the way, I am curious where is the link for this mbti test.

I find myself on occasion when spending too much with too many people, I tend to crave some alone time and go out to the mountains and recharge. Overall, I tend to prefer being alone than being with people.
