Introduction

Hello everyone. My name for this forum is deer antler, literally because it was the first thing I saw when I looked around for a username. Dog's deer antler toy, haha.
I am currently in college (late start but better late than never), I work as a technician and have been accepted into nursing school for next fall, which is VERY exciting. Nursing is my dream, especially labor and delivery nursing.
I am 24, I love anything where I can be crafty, live music, and my dog. I also have a boyfriend who I've been with for two years and I love him very much.
I am posting here to grow my faith. I used to have a strong and unwavering belief in God. In 2014 it began to fade. I want that back, but I will post about this in another forum once I've been allowed those privileges. For right now it says I cannot post in the thread I think I would post my searching for faith post.
I'm excited to talk with everyone and get to know you!

Welcome to CF. Nursing (advanced practice) has been a rewarding career for me for the last 27 years - I hope that it will be the same for you, and I wish you all success with your choice.

I am sorry that you are struggling with your faith, but sometimes I have found that working through such doubts can end up with a stronger faith once we get through the tough times.

I hope that you find here on CF friendship, fellowship and solid advice and guidance to help answer your questions and doubts.

Shoetoyou- Oh wow. My stepmom has been a nurse for 20-ish years I believe and is a big part of my decision to become one. Thank you for all you have done!
ItIsFinished!- Yes it is indeed the northern lights, a beautiful sight I WILL see one day, just haven't yet. This is actually the wallpaper on my computer too! My boyfriend and I have agreed when we do get married Iceland will be our honeymoon and I cannot WAIT. It's always been a dream of mine, so Alaska and Iceland are my wallpapers or backgrounds for most things, haha.

Nursing can be tough, but rewarding - but I am sure you have heard the stories from your stepmother.

(I haven’t been to Iceland or Alaska, but I did work in a northerly part of Canada where you could sometimes see the Northern Lights - they are indeed a sight worth seeing.
