CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The name's David (son of Jesse, as I always say jokingly) from Bessemer, Alabama. As you can see from the "name" thing, I'm twenty-one years old. I'm a soon-to-be graduate in eight days, seven hours and twenty minutes (lol) from Howard University. I'll be receiving my bachelor's degree in Music History and will be on my way, God willing, to pursuing my Master's degree in Music Performance a year later. I'm around 6'4", not terribly talkative, but not eerily quiet either. I'm more of an introvert and enjoy "absorbing" my environment. I love learning new things........ people sometimes say I'm very serious and at other times say I'm very funny. I have a sort of "dry" humor that people seem to enjoy, although people often times think I'm at my funniest when I'm not even trying to be (I'm......not so sure that's a good thing
). I've been a member of the site for about three years now, and I really do enjoy it. It provides a positive environment with Christian influence and God has used it immensely to help me grow spiritually.
Ummmmm......there's more, but this is getting rather long, so...... that's it for now.

First of all, naturally, as introductions go: my name is Cyrus, and I'm sure you've guessed by the "username" that I also have another name: Nicholas; there's a rather lengthy story behind it, so I won't post that here... but feel free to ask.
Let's see, well... I'm a scribbler of words, a writer that is. Nothin' substantial, just some poetry; that, as well, you're welcome to ask about. I've been doin' some ministering, preaching, teaching, and other things as well; but, that as well has a lengthy anecdote...
This, I believe, is my second day posting here and from what I can tell it's a pretty decent and, seemingly, fair system; I may have been here once before as a guest and posted a "quick post", but I can't quite recall when that was or if that actually happened... hahaha . o O(who knows with the types of dreams I have...); anyway, I won't take up too much space here. Thank you all for being here and deciding to share a little, if not a very little amount, about yourself.

Hi! I'm Cheryl from northern Colorado. I've been married for 3 1/2 years and have two small boys. I've attended college 5 times and have had to quit each time for health related reasons (fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome) I'm still aiming for a degree and would like to attain it via the online Moody Bible Institute though it might be a few years before I can get back into my studies again.

That's why I need my Savior. I am currently working at a summer camp (Camp Cosby) having a blast as a counselor. I love to read, run, swim, play with my dogs, get on the Internet, and study eschatology (Maranatha!!) Ok that's about all there is to me!

Hey all puregrl here, earning a dental assisting degree in western NC at a local comunity collage. God has given me a talent to work with children, so i will work in pediatrics when i graduate in 06 or i will then get an elementary teaching degree from a university.
