This is all irrelevant. We all know what the stars are. They are spatters of the Lord Turtle's blood on the sky which is formed from his upper shell. The Il Kaya tells us so.

Blame it on whatever you think you need to. The facts are what they are and you do not know after all. The issue is not how astounded and startled you may be.
So is slavery.
So is sin. Sin is slavery. God came to set us free.
A sun is a great light for earth.
The stars are lesser lights. Why would I assume they are as big? .
The sizes are not known for stars. That would require knowing time and space far away. Distances are not known.
You will need to totally recalibrate your conceptions.
.The only we that matters here is science. If they do not know, then we all can pick our favorite alternative. This is all irrelevant. We all know what the stars are. ...
You wouldn't know what a fact is if it dropped on your head and knocked you out. Go to church, you might learn something useful there.
Anyone that thinks that evil in the world is invented by religion or anything else is not of sound mind.So religion fabricates a problem - "sin" - and then advertises that that it has the only solution for it.
It deals with slaves. Nothing but slaves. And that same religion embraces slavery?
Seems to me that the particular slaves singled out for behavior rules needed that then. Do not think you can accuse God here.Do you approve of slavery, as detailed in the bible, dad?
No, men just call it that. The sun is the closest star to planet earth.
No, I doubt that. You depend on distances being what you thought they were. End of story. Some stars are thousands of times the size of the sun, because they are so far away they look "lesser"
False, you were wrong. Try to move on and deal with it. Of course you could try to support the size and distance of an example star here and see how you doThe sizes and distance of some stars are known, and we can work out the size and distance of the unknown with a bit of intelligence.
You will need to totally recalibrate your conceptions, did you not listen in science class?
(snip)...

Since all men are slaves to sin, all men are slaves period. Those who used to come with a slave title were just tagged more clearly. In other words...Yes, you do.
Well, you're one of the few Christians who is at least honest about it.

No, just the idea of calling it "sin".Anyone that thinks that evil in the world is invented by religion or anything else is not of sound mind.
As I said, the bible embraces slavery. It deals with slaves. Nothing but slaves.
Sounds like you approve, then?Seems to me that the particular slaves singled out for behavior rules needed that then. Do not think you can accuse God here.
Acknowledging sin and it's results does not mean we like them. I find it hypocritical for people to moan on and on over some slave who maybe was in debt so sold herself, or some such,
Whatever helps you justify it...
Why would I question the rules God set down in the past? Seems good to me. Set your slaves free in the Jubilee, treat them OK, etc etc. So?? You do realize that the world had slavery as part of what went on back then? Even many natives took slaves. God simply dealt with reality. No, just the idea of calling it "sin".
As I said, the bible embraces slavery.

Acknowledging sin and it's results does not mean we like them. I find it hypocritical for people to moan on and on over some slave who maybe was in debt so sold herself, or some such,
while ignoring the other people who were in bondage in various ways and fellow slaves of sin.
God allowed His people to be slaves when they forsook Him. But He made a way of escape. Jesus came to set the prisoners free.
Isa 61:1 -The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
We aren't ignoring the slaves of "other people who were in bondage in various ways," i.e. for reasons other than debt.
That's kind of our point. God specifically allowed his people to hold foreign slaves for reasons other than debt (and other than voluntarily).
The only people ignoring those slaves are Christians who don't want to admit that their God condoned such a practice.
What kind of question is that??
Because their masters were...um...jerks...
Why else?
How about the poor today? Are their masters less jerky? The reason they are slaves is sin. The masters also are slaves to sin. Why was Joseph sold as a slave in Egypt? God used the sins of his brothers, and all things, to work His plan. God has to work with sinning man...there is no other kind!
