Apparently these direct quotes are "me having it my way"... so be it.

And so then Exodus 20:8 dictates that man is to "keep it" holy. Keep it as a Holy Day.

Genesis 2
3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made. (NKJV)

3 So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.(ESV)

3 And God blesseth the seventh day, and sanctifieth it, for in it He hath ceased from all His work which God had prepared for making.(YLT)

Sanctified -- in Genesis 2:3
qadash The KJV translates Strong's H6942 in the following manner: sanctify (108x), hallow (25x), dedicate (10x), holy (7x), prepare (7x), consecrate (5x), appointed (1x), bid (1x), purified (1x), miscellaneous (7x).

================== Exodus 20:11

11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

11 for six days hath Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that [is] in them, and resteth in the seventh day; therefore hath Jehovah blessed the Sabbath-day, and doth sanctify it. YLT

Sanctified -- in Ex 20:11

If you only cared to be honest about who the "you" represents 'you' might not be seen as lying. When was all mankind brought out of Egypt?

In fact the answer is right there and verse 22.

Exodus 20
22 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites this: ‘You have seen for yourselves that I have spoken to you from heaven:

In context who is the you all throughout Exodus 20, nay all throughout the law? Mankind? That would be a lie Bob.

Are you doing some creative writing?

Are you saying you see a lot of "you" statements in that post??

Did you think that Ex 20:11 is about making "planet Israelite"?? or "Planet Jew"??

Adam "was a Jew" in your view?

What exactly is your point for Genesis 2 and Exodus 20:11??

Celebrated with no Divine authority to do so... how many examples do we have in the OT of God's people thinking that their ideas would be acceptable to God that ended badly for them? Don't be lead astray because of men's tradition. God has commanded for us to keep holy the 7th day Sabbath... He has NOT in any way annulled His Holy declaration for us to obey the 4th Commandment... man did.
God commanded "US"???? Where did you find that in scripture? He did command the Israelites, but as far as I know He never commanded US to observe it.

You follow the letter and the spirit of every single Commandment except the 4th... do you suppose God's doesn't notice such things?
May I remind you that God gave to Israel around 613 commands. Do you suppose that God is not noticing that you are not observing all of them either.:holy:
