I am a mod on a tanning salon board for professionals. The site owner started an Inspirational forum and a few of the long time mods and posters went postal amd want it taken down. There is a Pub and Off Topic Forum that it is ok to get raunchy on but some don't want a forum for those interested to discuss religion etc.

Are there any of you here who tan? The reason I asked is because it was suggested that I go to a Christian web site and talk about tanning to see the reactions I would get. I would also like to see if any others here have this problem from co workers or onliners that think it is ok to talk trash to unwind but it is not ok to talk religion to unwind.

fwiw, always get a tan, but, not from a tanning bed or the beach....... i just spend time outdoors.

Thanks guys, yes I am a Christian and have been greatly blessed. Many of us on our tanning bulletenboard enjoy being able to discuss the Bible and our beliefs and even debate Christianity vs Judaism with our Jewish collegues.

There is however a group who hate religion and are fighting for the owner to take down the forum. He is a new Christian and on fire for the Lord right now.

Pray for us if you will. I will keep you updated. Especially pray for one of my fellow mods there that wished I would ride my Harley into a tree.

Hi Jim! Welcome to CF. I used to tan, but realized the older I got, the less of a good idea that became . I have no problem with those who do.


I pray the owner will stand his ground and keep the forum up if people are being edified. He is the owner and those who don't like it are always free to go elsewhere, or just stay out of that particular one. It's not a group of complainers that he will give an account to one day.

Praying for them. And praying that you will always be safe on and off the Harley.

CeCe, thanks, I have been riding for a long time. Took a cross country trip from here in Florida to Los Angeles by myself last summer. It was a spiritual event for me.
