  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The thing is that "in more places" needs a reference frame. We have found faults all over the world, some are more active than others, but that doesnt mean the other go off everyonce in awhile.

So in more places then when? When the world was believed to be much smaller than it is now? or then 10 years ago? 2000 years ago? 1 million?

well not to go too conspiracy theory, but since nukes normally register on the richter scale, could it mean if/when a nuclear war happens?

There are just too many ways to interpret it to what we want for it to be a good guage of when the "rapture" is comeing.

Personally, I think the increase in earthquake activity should be apparent on a smaller time scale. If we see a sharp increase over maybe a years time as opposed to a decade or century it would mean more. From what I have seen, they have been fairly consistant over the past several years that I have been watching.
If we start getting several 7.~ or 8.~ quakes per week maybe it would mean something.

KABOOOOOOM!!!! Hey, you never know. I remember when I lived in Vegas and the PEPCON plant exploded. We were several miles away but it still blew our front door in a bit and broke the frame around the door as well as shattered several windows in the neighboorhood. Many reported feeling the 'earthquake' many more miles away, not knowing it was an explosion.. so, who knows. :help:

That's too true. I don't really put too much faith in my understanding of the endtime signs but I do enjoy learning about it all, as confusing as it may be.

Yeah.

Wanting to believe in end time signs can also trigger false alarms. If the San Andreas fault decided to go in cali, and it decided to be a big one, then it could set off other faults in the area or even other places that only needed a little tap. This could be a natural occurence, but might seem like and end time sign to many people.

Getting into earth quakes, the more dangerous faults in the US are the ones running under New York. They dont go off very often, however the damage would be increased because New Yorks building code isnt as earth quake based as Californias.
