In Rememberance 9/11/01

Hello, My friends.

I would like to have a fellowship thread to remember and honor 9/11/01.

Please fellowship with each other, share stories, prayers, poems, pictures, whatever you'd like.

Please do NOT rush the end of this thread, just to end it....thank you. It will end at the end of 9/11/01 Pacific time, even if it goes into more than one thread. The ending time is so the entire USA is covered.

No abc's, lalala, one word, smiley only posts. No more than 5 back to backs. Pics are o.k., but please only 2 in a row and then take some time to fellowship and please refrain if it's slowing things down for others.

I think no speed posting is obvious, but there it is, just in case.

Blessings....ah yes, the part about blessings.

I would like to do something a little different. I will give out blessings throughout, but I would also like to encourage you to bless each other and rep each other for posts you find especially touching.

But above all, please do fellowship too.

I was in Nursing School....It was during exams. We all sat in a classroom with a TV crying. Even the professor was crying. He tried to get the Dean to cancel exams but he wouldn't. We took our exams while crying. It was awful.

Jake...dies from the smoke and debris he dug through in order to find bodies at the site. A true hero.

Bear...another K-9 hero. NEW YORK (CNN) -- Bear, a 12-year-old golden retriever, risked his life and health to locate people trapped in the rubble of the World Trade Center after the September 11 terrorist attacks.

He too died from being exposed to the debris at the site.

I was home. Kids were at school and hubby at work.
I watch news most of the time but had the TV off.
My mom called, and said 2 planes hit the Towers.
I though two little planes clipped each other and winged the towers.
Who could ever imagined such a thing happening, never entered my mind that a plane, let alone 2 could go into and through them.

I had been at the base of one of the Towers, growing up in Jersey I went to the City often. Never went in them. You looked up to the top of them and they reached the sky.
My brother used to do work in them sometimes, but wasn't living in the City at the time.
My cousin Karen is a reporter for the NY Daily News and it took most of the day to make sure she wasn't near them.

I point out the Towers because they are closer. Not ignoring the field in PA and the Pentagon

Prayer Answered

Lord, once again we come to You

For the answer that You sent to all

I was too young to understand, I remember seeing burning buildings on the tv, everyone looking shocked and wondering what was going on.
