In Beginning =in Jesus.... who is the Beginning of the creation of God.

(Gen 1:1)
In beginning God created the heavens and the earth
.

There is no definite article “the” in Hebrew before “beginning”.

The “Beginning” referred to in Genesis 1:1 is Jesus the Son of God as ALL things in the heavens and the earth were created by God THROUGH (Greek: “dia”) Him and for Him.

Col 1:15-19
(15) Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
(16) For THROUGH him (in “Beginning” in Genesis 1:1) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created THROUGH him, and for him:
(17) And he is before all things, and THROUGH him all things consist.
(18) And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
(19) For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

All things (from A to Z…from Aleph to Tav…from Alpha to Omega) were made THROUGH Him:

John 1:3
(3) All things were made THROUGH him; and without him was not anything made that was made.

Again, Jesus is the “Beginning” of the creation of God in Genesis 1:1.

Rev 3:14 KJV
(14) And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

In Beginning (that is, Jesus) was the Word (“Logos” which means “word, saying, message”).
The Word or Saying was “toward” God…that is, regarding God. The message or saying regards God.

“In Beginning” in John 1:1 does not have the definite article “the” in Greek:

John 1:1
In ( no article… “the”… in Greek) beginning was the Word, and the Word was with (“with”= Greek “pros” which means “to, toward”) God, and the Word was God.

The Saying from “Beginning” (Jesus is the Beginning) is that God IS Light.

There is also no definite article "the" in 1 John 1:1 before “beginning”.

1John 1:1
That which was from (no definite article here) beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

This is the message which we have heard of Him (the Beginning) and is declared unto us that “God is light”. This is the Word or Saying of life.

1Jn 1:5-6 KJV
(5) This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
(6) If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

We find the Saying of life in Genesis 1:3 “Let there be light”.

Gen 1:3
(3) And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

It should be translated:

And God said, “He IS Light”.

The Hebrew word “hayah” means “to be, to exist, to become”. In this context, it is saying that God IS light. He did not become light but IS light.

This is the message that Beginning (Jesus) says from the very start in Genesis.

“and there was light”. We respond to the Light with light. We are to walk in the light as He is in the light.

1Jn 1:7 KJV
(7) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

We are to be children of light by believing in the light…in the knowledge of God…when we hear it.

Joh 12:36 KJV
(36) While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

The message (God is Light) needed to be said to man as the earth had BECOME without form and void….that is, mankind had become without the form of God’s righteousness and void of His knowledge.

Gen 1:2
(2) And the earth BECAME without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

“without form”= without the form of righteousness.

“Void” = no knowledge/ no understanding. The earth became without form and void as His people have no knowledge to do good.

Jer 4:22-23 KJV
(22) For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
(23) I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.
.

“Darkness” was upon the face of the deep….upon the heart of mankind all together.
God had created the world and man can clearly see the things that are made the invisible things of God…His eternal power and divine nature.

But man BECAME vain in his reasonings and man’s foolish heart was darkened.

Rom 1:20-22 KJV
(20) For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
(21) Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
(22) Professing themselves to be wise, they became fo
ols,

Man can clearly see with his own eyes the invisible things of God in the majesty of the created things that reflect those invisible attributes but man became without form and void of His knowledge.

Now, mankind needs to HEAR the knowledge of God even though he can SEE those things but chooses to become vain in his own thoughts

Dear orbiter,

The effort in your post is there and way more than most ever try, however,

"In" is a preposition, here following is a link to help understand what a preposition does and is, please see viii "en",
Prepositions.

"[the] beginning" is a phrase,

At The Beginning vs In The Beginning (Prepositional Phrases)

"In [the] beginning" is a prepositional phrase which denotes a period of time.

"Toward" is also a preposition, a preposition of direction. Please learn about prepositions!

Please look up prepositions and what they are and how they are to be understood!

[The] which is the definite article attaches to the subject [The Word] and is not included with "In beginning" on purpose by God in the Greek by the figure of Ellipsis so as not to change the subject from "The Word". In the Greek, the definite article will usually attach to the subject. Please look it up!

Here is a following link to help understand the parsing of the words in John 1:1. Don't believe me, please look it up for yourself at the following link.
John 1 :: King James Version (KJV)

Jesus, THE WORD, is not a creation, He is the creator! Jesus / Yeshua is GOD! "...and the Word was God"...

Jesus is the Word / logos in John 1:1, The Word is an idiom for Jesus. An idiom is not defined by any one word, please look idiom up!

God left out the definite article [the] in Greek on purpose as a figure called Ellipsis aka Omission because the subject is THE WORD, the subject is not "[the] beginning".

There is a need to get the prepositions and prepositional phrases correct and not assign them to what they are not as done throughout the original post, piling error upon error!

There is an OBJECT (IN [THE] BEGINNING), VERB (WAS), and SUBJECT (THE WORD) that must be followed. The Word is not the object just as "In Beginning" is not the subject of John 1:1!

Blessings,

We are told God declares the end from the Beginning. Even if we understood the meaning of the Letter B in the word Beginning we would understand ALL of the Bible. That is God's desire to want to become a part of His creation. We see this when the veil was tore in the temple. Matthew 27:51 says, "Behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent."
